#70:
Philly and Houston agreed on a trade.
Hou sends:
Goran Dragic $2,108,000
Philly sends
TPE (Jason Smith ~ 2,2 mio)
PHi 2nd 2012
ChI 2nd 2016
Why for Philly? Late 2nds do nothing for a playoff team. These are guys that wouldn't crack the rotation, especially on a deep team like Philly. It was more important for us to get another PG that is a shooter like Dragic, who is also still young. Nice dealing, Houston!

PDX have DAL have a blockbuster to announce.
PDX outgoing;
Andrew Bogut $12,000,000
Emeka Okafor $12,492,500
Trevor Ariza $6,790,640
Derrick Williams $4,746,480
Total: $33,985,460
DAL outgoing:
Dirk Nowitzki- $19,092,873
Tyson Chandler- $14,000,000
Caron Butler- $8,000,000
Total: $41,092,873
Wow. We are pleased to bring in the Finals MVP. We pay a hefty price but it is well worth it. Dirk proved in the playoffs that he is one, if not the, best players in the world. I could post the amazing numbers but I won`t. Chandler is the 3rd best defensive C in the league, a true anchor that will hedge on picks and recover quickly. Nash and Dirk are also reunited on our team which is kinda cool and Butler provides some much needed wing help.

Accepted, These are the kind of pieces that can really quickstart a rebuild. Save a great amount of future committed salary here too.

# 71:
CLE and MIN have agreed to the following 2 part trade:
CLE sends | MIN receives
Luke Harangody - 788 872
Alonzo Gee - 884 293
total = 1 673 165
MIN sends | CLE receives
James Anderson 1 402 540
subsequently CLE absorbs Luke Ridnour(3 680 000) with part of the LBJ TPE
what remains of the LBJ TPE after trade:6 222 500
- we love this because we get a good SG prospect in James Anderson(one of the most efficient scorers in college last year) and one of the best backup PGs in the game(on a good contract too!) for what amounts to be scrubs
nice dealing Klomp

Minnesota accepts both parts of the deal. We had no reason to keep Anderson buried on the bench, and Ridnour was making far too much money for a third-string point guard. In return, we clear cap space while getting a young player at a position of need as well as an unguaranteed contract.

# 72:WAS and LAL have a BLOCKBUSTER trade to announce:
TO LAL:
Marcus Thornton ($6,000,000)
Al Jefferson ($14,000,000)
Luol Deng ($12,325,000)
2013 IND 1st
2014 WAS 1st
Total: 32,325,000 * 1.25 + 100,000 = 40,506,250
TO WAS:
Dwight Howard ($18,091,770)
Gilbert Arenas ($19,269,307)
Total: 37,361,077
Deal works
LAL accepts. This one was easy for me (surprisingly). I HATE Arenas's contract and this is the only way I could rid it of my team. Dwight wasn't going to stay, that's the main reason I traded him. With OKC making a superteam, I couldn't compete in FA with them unless I one the championship, and I didn't think I could muster that much talent without moving Kobe/Dwight. I'm glad Dwight's going to a place where he will be able to stay, and play with another star (Paul). The return on him was the best offer I got. Jefferson is maybe the best post-up player in the league. Deng is a top 5 SF, plays great D and O and is very reliable. Thornton was 21/5/3/2 in SAC last year, and all 3 of the players I'm getting are near all-star level. We also get about 5M in immediate cap room, and 2 future 1sts. Good dealing Crispy.

Accept. When I learned about okcs position to get dwight..I nearly backed out to be honest. Then I realiazed I have to take a risk if I want a shot at winning this game. Dwight and cp3 is pretty beast. Let's hope he resigns cause then this trade will look dumb.

# 73: LAL and POR have another blockbuster to announce:
TO LAL:
Dirk Nowitzki ($19,092,873)
Drew Gooden ($6,226,200)
2014 POR 1st

Total: 25,319,073
TO POR:
Kobe Bryant ($25,244,493)
Total: $25,244,493
#'s are close enough
LAL accepts. It's hard to trade Kobe, but we feel Dirk is a very good option. Might as well blow it all up, right? I also feel Dirk is more widely praised around the league. Also, as both players age, Dirk will do it better because he doesn't rely on athleticism. We get some picks for taking on Gooden.

We needed help at SG, so why not pick up a pretty good one in Kobe. We feel he has a lot left in the tank and with Nash on board, Kobe`s life will be much easier. We finally feel like we are ready to compete for a title.

This deal works because Memphis's incoming salaries ($11,540,000) is less than 125%+$100k of outgoing salaries ($11,604,740). Toronto accepts as we get a decent big for the bench and are hoping Outlaw can return from a bad year. We also like moving Villanueva's and Farmar's contracts off the books.
*NOTE: This is a pending trade and cannot be approved until Sunday.
i will not be here sunday but i accept this pending deal. we gain 2 depth pieces for one. this deal was a no brainer for me

Clock is ticking on getting your roster up to date during this trade hold.
Trades will resume at midnight EST but if your roster has not been updated by then it will be denied and you will have to repost.

I was rooting for this just to see Arenas back in DC.

but
already has 5 vetoes(plus 1 I tossed for not being a valid reason)
Sorry guys

In a nutshell the overwhelming reason was not enough value for Dwight.

Indiana and New Orleans have agreed to a blockbuster deal.
New Orleans Trades/Indiana Receives
Kevin Martin $11,519,840
Luke Walton $5,680,000
Hakeem Warrick $4,250,000
(11 519 840 + 5 680 000 + 4 250 000) * 1.25 = 26 812 300
Indiana Trades/New Orleans Receives
James Posey $7,595,600
Andray Blatche $6,442,083
Randy Foye $4,250,000
Klay Thompson $2,284,250
Eric Bledsoe $1,595,360
2012 IND 2nd
7 595 600 + 6 442 083 + 4 250 000 + 2 284 250 + 1 595 360 = 22 167 293
Indiana accepts. I love Kevin Martin's game, it is exactly what I hoped Thompson would become. I feel that my team is close enough to being a contender that this is a good trade, and with Kevin's game and age (27) he will still be a great player that can put up 20ppg 5 years down the road. I also love Warrick as a spark off the bench, and Walton isn't the worst contract in the world.
