Since this is the only place I can think of where we've been talking trades, how about this piece of fansterbation which isn't as crazy as it might seem - memphis get to unload RGay's contract, OJ who had some troubles fitting in, saves enough to keep Gasol and be a player in free agency

We get a nice young shooting guard, a wing scorer and another good young backcourt guy in Vasquez, who I was impressed with last year

PHX - VC, Lopez out for Gay, Mayo and Vasquez. With Lopez expiring he either gets better and becomes useful to them, or they save a total of 21 million in salary when he expires. Even as he is, he can back up Gasol at inexpensive cost

Now, this isn't my dream list of player additions but it works moneywise ... we are taking on long term salary in Gay, but he is very movable.

Erm John, VC expiring isn't worth Gay and Mayo, along with Vazquez. Gay isn't even getting traded for that matter. Lopez and a future first probably lands you Mayo though. Vazquez isn't a filler or throw in either.

But, back to my deal. I see Childress can make my trade work as well if I add Zaza. So what if it was Childress, Warrick, and Lopez instead for Zaza and Marvin!?

Anybody else not mentioned you can have. But those 5 players have pretty much established themselves as Phoenix Suns players that will be kept no matter the asking price (well, except if u give Kobe, Durant, Wade, or LeBron of course lol).

I'll consider anyone outside of Dudley and Gortat. Frye is still softer than toilet paper. Warrick still hasn't grown a brain. Hill and Nash are way too good to be on this team.

RunDogGun wrote:Gooden, the best rebounding PF the Bucks have, only boarded 6.8 a game. We get that out of Frye. I don't see the point really.

Frye plays 33 minutes a game whereas Gooden plays 24 minutes a game. Just FYI of course. Not like I would make the trade.

thats why Childress + Pietrus should go back to Hawks in any deals for an SF from them.

Marvin Williams 16ppg 7rpg 3apg.... Similar to current Grant Hill but with 10 years younger legs, can play 30+ minutes back to back and play consecutive high minute productive games.... I love G.Hill, but I know that he cant play consecutive games where he plays like a star due to his age.... Marvin still can.... without ball hogs around him.

Not very good. Pietrus is our only legit 2-guard, and even he's more of a G/F. We're not giving up our promising backup C, only off guard to take on Williams, who's nothing but a last option role player on an non-understandably lucrative contract.

Like most of your trades Kant... you make your case why PHNX should do it... now explain that minor detail of why ATL would.

Just to clarify - my Mem/PHX trade was prompted out of boredom and redports that Heisley really does want to move Gay's contract, given how well they did without him last year. One thing led to another and ... there you have it.

The funny thing is, Heisley is right up there with Kahn for weird unlikely moves (Thabeet, his standoff with Xavier last year, etc.) And he loves to save money - he claims to have been losing money with the Grizz for a decade in memphis and only continuing to do it out of community service ...

stranger things by far have happened ...

and to that end - a revised deal - with this I would give thema first, just not 2012's

Caution: Frank, do not read. Like strong whiskey, this will angry you up

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=43j4lrb

gives us -

Nash
Mayo/Allen
Gay
Morris
Gortat

Dowdell
Duds
Chilly
Frye
Siler

Hak
Pietrus
Lawal

why for PHX? self-evident

why for MEM? Saves them $16 mil and they can use some of it to buy another SG, and still have most of it left over.

No way Memphis will trade both Allen and Majo.

I can't see it either but since I rarely indulge in fansterbation, I did - and I liked it. But I can see how it might be habit-forming

I wil reiterate that Heisley has a real capacity to do weird stuff - you ever heard the story of how Brian Cardinal got his MLE contract? Actually more of a Jerry West story -
