Cap relief isn't an issue. Kaman is expiring, Gallo will be an RFA after next year. If anything, Gallo will be a one year rental as the Clips will have substantial caproom for the 2012 FA class and will look to add a major piece. This is basically a trade to give the Clips short term relief at a position of weakness(FA) and gives the Nuggets a legit big considering Nene and K-Mart are unrestricted FA's.

So are you trying to say Gallinari is only worth an expiring? If you are you should probably stop posting until you can understand how trades work in the NBA.

You may also want to do some looking around at the salary sites, and at the free agency rules. the Clippers will have to extend jordan and Gordon, added to anybody they sign this year, and the cap holds for the TWolves pick and the empty roster spots the odds are they have very limited cap space to sign someone of Gallinari's caliber. The Nuggets on the other hand can resign/ sign just about anybody they want this year, and will have more then enough room to bring back Gallinari who is a restricted free agent, as Miller is expiring this year creating more then enough room to pay Gallinari a market value contract.

I just said Gallo would probably be a one year rental for the Clips. I realize re-signing him will be tough considering Clips will go after a Deron Williams type player in 2012 FA. Also, you say Nuggs will have room to pay market value contract for Gallo, so what does that mean for Chandler? Is he in Denver's future?

Why not, The Nuggets can afford to pay chandler, Gallo, Afflalo, and smith market value, while still having the ability to pay for another addition or 2.
