Do I agree with everything the religion promotes... hell no. I will admit that. I do think that people go to extremist points when it comes to this religion, but not as harsh as you suggest.

However, you can not sit there and tell me that you don't believe there is a major possibility that what you are reading is false information. There is without a question misinterpretations of the Qur'an out there, not matter how much the distribution of such books is enforced. You may not believe what I have to say, but I can tell you a lot of your info on what the Qur'an itself promotes is false.

Ive read the quran cover to cover, first in my teens then a few years ago. I bought the book from a new agey spiritual book store which would not sell anything but the quran you refer to.

So these verses I quoted are in that same book, and they promote bigotry and intolerance towards Jews, Christians and any other non believer.

If you want to embrace Islam fine, but embrace the positive not the negative and speak out against those who continue to give your faith a bad name, thats what Im saying.

I do not embrace what happens but the Qur'an does not promote that. And I have said I am against those who give my faith a bad name. I have no reason to feel what they do is right.

I do have two Muslim friends and they are good men, and good Americans. They share many of my sentiments and are alarmed by the growing threat of radical Islam. We disagree as to the validity of your prophet but that is what it is.

And these are directly from your holy text, so don't tell me that these are some infidel propaganda to distort the truth about your religion. Your religion needs to get out of the 7th century and join the 21st century or fade away.

Exactly what is wrong about those verses? When its says "Fight", it doesnt mean physically, it means fight their beliefs. Then how can somebody who carries different beliefs and different beliefs in the proper way of life be your friend? Islam doesnt believe in friendship, it believes in brotherhood. Friends are fake.
