ATL/MIA

Post#1 » by FCNATL85 » Sat Jul 23, 2011 5:34 am

Initial offer:
Heat trade: GF Mike Miller| PG Norris Cole| C Zydrunas Ilgauskas ($ to buy-out/ returns to MIA)
Hawks trade: PG Kirk Hinrich

Counter offer:
Hinrich to MIA cannot happen unless you do something like
Smith- Hinrich-Rolle for Bosh-Haslem-Jones

Hinrich--Cole Chalmers?
Wade-Miller-House
Lebron-Miller-Smoothe
Smoothe-Rolle
Anthony-Z-Pittman + FA

Teague- FA ( Carter?)- Sy
JJ- Jones- JC1?
Marvin- Jones-Damian?
Bosh- Haslem- Horford
Horford- Zaza- Benson

interesting line-ups on both sides

so we become the Atlanta Raptors? Marvin Williams rebounding Usage and Assist (sometimes indicates double teams)% is average at his current slot.

Teague- Hinrich (36, 12)
JJ- Marvin (36, 12)
Smith- {Malcolm Thomas (36, 12)
Motiejunas- J.Hill (36, 17)
Thabeet- Zaza (26, 17)

Smith and his ability to rebound 15% of all shots at small forward is the single most unreplacable thing on this team.

Horford and Sy for Motiejunas, Hill and Thabeet.

Bosh Horford (low usage high assist) and Haslem are finished products. Smith peaked in 2010. Either Smith drops lbs and goes SF we finally trade Al for some high usage, efficiency power forwards and a high efficiency low usage center.

Or we keep on coming up with trying to find scoring centers who can defend to offset Al's weaknesses.

Building around Al Horford is impossible. Bosh? lol in the context of championship you have
to be stacked at all positions scoring and defense to succeed with either.

LEbron, Wade, Kobe yeah.

In context of Zaza Joe, and Smith all you have to do is play them at big positions and let them offensive rebound.
Ask Tim Duncan and Rasho Nasterovic/Oberto how that worked for them. Ask Gasol and Bynum.

You can replace Artest, Ariza, Bowen and Marion with a Smith. You cant say the same for 36mpg Horford against 26mpg Bynum or 26mpg Tyson Chandler.
he could be an offense upgrade against Perkins w/ 08 Boston but is that what u pay $12 million for? an occasional jumpshot when Garnett can post up or drive, miss get the offensive board and get fouled in the process against anyone in the league?

Horford will never be a champion power forward. Too many superstars needed.

I'd think both teams are better off keeping what they've got then exploring either of these deals. ATL is trying to sell & I can't see us picking up the longer contracts of Bosh or Miller. MIA needs shooters & cheap talent to surround LeBron & Wade so trading off the likes of Miller, Haslem, & Bosh doesn't serve either. Couldn't see either side being interested.

Bosh fits Miami better than "Smoothe", Smoove is not a stretch 4. Hell he might be the sf they need to move Lebron/Wade to PG sign Dalembert and just transition ball all day.

no thx

Return to Atlanta Hawks
