The Detroit Pistons report that they have signed SF Marvin Williams of the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for a $8.5M TPE. Marvin will fill the starting role in the Pistons new lineup and brings a major defensive presence and an athletic wing who will stretch defenses and can finish in Lawrence Franks new up tempo offense. Marvin will be a vital piece in the rebuilding of the Detroit Pistons proud heritage.

Accepted. Marvin got a weird shaped head.

Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks have agreed to the following trade:

Atlanta receives:
2015 2nd RND

Toronto receives:
PF Keith Benson (Draft Rights)

Raptors agree. We add a nice prospect with raw potential.

Atlanta accepts. In my opinion raw potential = never gonna be good.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

#82

Cleveland Sends- Sam Young(947,800), Ronny Turiaf(4,360,000),

GSW Sends- Rights to Jeremy Tyler.

GSW has the cap space to make up the difference.

We accept, we wanted a defensive SF and Young is that, we also take the defensive hustle Center in Turiaf.
Nice Dealing

Memphis will send Emeka Okafor [12,492,500]

We finally get the defensive big man to pair next to Amare.

This will be trade #83

I believe that MJallday will be switching Derrick Brown for Jared Jeffries in a one year $8m deal. He will confirm this when he next gets the chance.

Dallas accepts. I'm trying to have the smallest team possible.

Although we were willing to accept bad contracts, Dan Gilbert will not allow us to go over the luxury tax. :) Hence, we needed to make a deal that although it put us below the lux tax, was not a bad deal. We still get a young PF in Jeremy Tyler, who if he got his head screwed on right, will be a good role player.

Trade #84

The Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets would like to announce a trade:

Chris Kaman -$12,200,000 (exp.)
Gary Forbes -$963,872

for

Hasheem Thabeet -$5,127,720
Chase Budinger -$884,293
2012 NYK 1st (top 5 protected)
2015 HOU 1st

We do it to get young talent for a veteran Center. We are trying to get young, and get a high pick in 2012, so Kaman didn't really help us long term. Thabeet can be cut next season, and maybe, MAYBE, will show us something. Chase is a good, young player, and more 2012 picks are always a good thing.

85#

PDX and PHX have a trade to announce.

PDX outgoing:
Greg Oden $12,000,000 (BYC $6,000.000)
Caron Butler $8,000,000
total: $20,000,000 (BYC: $14.000.000)

PHX outgoing:
Gerald Wallace $9,500,000
Josh Childress - $6,000,000
total: $15,500,000

Gerald Wallace is a beast. One of the best perimeter defenders in the league, a great off ball slasher, and an elite intangibles guys. Childress is wing depth.

Houston accepts. We needed a starting Center and some wiggle room for 2012 FA and Kaman helps with both. With this move we've added our third former All Star next to our two best players from last season, and solidified our starting lineup. Hopefully, Thabeet will show something in Denver but he wasn't worth our wait. Budinger will be missed but Forbes can back up the 2 and is also expiring next year. We're under the cap so we can make this deal work. Good dealings Denver.

also this is trade #85 not 84 (a couple trades look like they were posted at the same time).

Confirmed. We take a risk on Oden's health, but he and Biyombo could become the best defensive frontcourt in the league if all goes well. Butler is a veteran SF that can hopefully be moved to a contender, and we get to shed Childress' contract.

EDIT: Deal doesn't work salary-wise as constructed, but adding Garrett Siler makes it work.

Trade #86

New Jersey Nets and Toronto Raptors have agreed to the following deal:

New Jersey receives:
C Kevin Seraphin ($1,680,360)

Toronto receives:
F Damion James ($1,243,080)
PF Jordan Williams ($490,180)

Raptors agree. We get a nice prospect in Damion James and Jordan Williams. Trade works because salaries are practically even.

Sure why not.
A quality prospect big is better then a quality prospect wing. Also with Chandler on board, there no minutes to go around.

Trade #87

Houston and Cleveland have a two part trade to announce:

Part 1:
Houston IN/Cleveland OUT: Will Bynum - $3,250,000
Cleveland IN/Houston OUT: TPE (Shane Battier) - $3,250,000

Part 2:
Houston IN/Clevland OUT: 2012 HOU 2nd (previously traded to CLE)
Clevland IN/Houston OUT: 2012 MIN 2nd, 2012 PHI 2nd

Houston accepts. We add some scoring to our bench with Bynum. We also get back our 2nd round pick so we can at least participate in the draft. Nice deal, Cleveland.

Trades(#80 for example) that have more than one trade per post count as separate trades towards your trade totals.

Please list these as separate deals on you roster pages.

CLE accepts, Will Bynum was redundant, but he was a good role player. that said, we still get 2 more 2nd round picks in 2012. nice dealing mtamasi!

TRADE #88
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to terms on a deal. Minnesota will send forward/guard Martell Webster ($5,256,000) to Cleveland in exchange for Luke Babbitt ($1,768,800) and Ryan Hollins ($2,483,333).

MIN Out / CLE In: $5,256,000
CLE Out / MIN In: $4,252,133 (* 1.25 = $5,315,166)

Minnesota accepts. We felt that Webster simply made too much money for someone sitting third on the depth chart. By making this trade, we acquired a cheap, young prospect for that role, as well as adding a third-string center on an expiring contract. Even with making a 1-for-2 trade, we still manage to save over one-million dollars in the swap.

we needed a starting SF, at least for this season, and Webster fills that. next season, he'll have lots of trade value us an unguaranteed contract :)

#89-90?

Orlando and Detroit have agreed upon a deal.

Orlando sends Ryan Anderson ($2,244,601) to DET in exchange for TPE.

Orlando sends Hedo Turkoglu ($11,015,850), Carl Landry ($5,875,000), 2014 ORL (top three protected) in exchange for David Lee ($11,610,000), Terrico White ($788,872) and Jonas Jerebko ($5,000,000).

ORLANDO: Outgoing: $16,890,858 Incoming: $17,398,872
DETROIT: Outgoing: $14,898,872 (with Jerebko's BYC) Incoming: $16,890,850

Deal Works.

Magic accept, we think Terrico is the next Jordan.

Detroit accepts this deal in keeping with their movement to develop young talent to compete for the long term. We definitely moved the best player in this deal as David Lee will continue to produce at an all star level for many years and was ideally paired with A V. However, both Carl Landry and David Anderson can compete at the PF / C depending on the match up and bring significant talents to the young Piston core (at a savings). Hedu is a concern, but his decline in 2010 was due to poor shooting which Detroit believes he will overcome. He is still an great facilitator who will help this group.

Detroit believes Terrico is the next Jordan - (the one on Big Brother).

#90:
OKC and CLE have agreed to a trade(prior to this deal, CLE signs Jeremy Tyler to a contract)

OKC sends
Nick Collison

CLE sends
LBJ TPE(we absorb Nick Collison first) --> what remains of the TPE: 710 363
2012 CLE 2nd
2013 MIA 1st

we think Nick Collison is one of the best backup Cs around, plus with his unique salary structure(OKC paid a huge sum of it already), then its a good deal for us. nice dealing!
