That's not two steps forward because they haven't stepped onto an NBA court yet!! Also, Walker needs to take a step back and learn how to be an NBA point guard. You do not want a Brandon Jennings type point and neither does MJ. This is not going to happen overnight. And Bismack hasn't really gone up against any serious talent every night like he will face in the NBA. HUGE difference in talent from what he's used to facing.

Bottom line is we need to stink (record wise) for one more season and add another top ten pick before we start looking outside the franchise to fill in missing pieces. Our salary cap and roster flexibility will open up in 2 seasons so the best thing right now is to be PATIENT as our youngins learn the NBA game.

If we're going to add a veteran player now it should be an experienced older point guard who can mentor Walker and help teach him how to be an NBA point guard. Other than that just sit tight and enjoy watching our franchise build a sold foundation of good young players.

What are you talking about? Two steps forward is just a way of saying that we are moving in the right direction. You guys really need to stop. You didn't just say anything that every true bobcat's fan doesn't already know. Of course it would be nice for us to get another high pick. I just don't think this team is going to be as bad as you guys do.

You said we took two steps forward when we drafted Walker and Bismack but, how do you know that's going forward, let alone two steps?? You don't until you actually see them perform on an NBA court against NBA players.

Det in: TT and Diop

Washington in: Maggettee and rip

Char: Lewis

You guys shed TT's extra two years, maggette's and diop's contract. While picking up a vastly overpaid but productive PF to play next to Biyombo. and a huge expiring next year to use when the draft comes around.

Does Shard expire before Diop and maggette?

Shard expires at the same time as Maggette and Diop and he costs more than them combined.

I don't see the point in it myself, I don't see Washington bothering either.

We might actually have to play Diop as he is our only true center at the moment. (shudder)

And the last thing we need is another Pf.

^basically shed 25 million annually in 3 players and pick up 21.5 million in one. however you save 2 years of TT's contract which is worth 20mil-ish.

My point was i think you guys would like Augustine, Walker, Henderson, Shard, Biyombo and an extra 3 million next season than augustin, walker, magette,TT, Biyombo. Additionally i think more teams will be looking at Shards expiring/contribution as a big than at magette's iso contribution.

You guys save money, continue to rebuild, solidify a PF position and pair Biyombo with a legitimate scoring PF.

Shard is a SF, he can't play PF for ****. And I like him better than Mags for us since he spreads the floor a bit, and I'd like to get rid of Diop any way possible unless he has a "breakout" year and scores 10 points in a game.

Its a decent price to get rid of Diop. The only money we are saving is TT's contract, which I don't think the front office is ready to get rid of yet.

Shard might fit better than Maggette at the moment, but we aren't winning anything at the moment anyway.

Personally I wouldn't bother.

^i see your point, it was worth a try

^^correct me if i'm wrong but i swear he played PF on the sonics? i always saw him as a Rasheed wallace type player but without the defense and better shooter.

Rasheed Wallace could play C and PF because of his defense. Shard is quicker and much weaker and plays a lot worse on D. He played PF on the Magic too but he really isn't good at it.
