Trade #99
PISTONS & BLAZERS ANNOUNCE DEAL

The Detroit Pistons have acquired Kris Humphries in a 5 player trade with Portland. Detroit will send Ryan Anderson & Hedo Turkolou to Portland in exchange for Humphries, Brandon Rush and Elliot Williams. Detroit will also receive the Blazers unprotected 2015 2nd round pick in the deal.

Portland sends out $ 13.255,000 in Salaries while taking on $ 11,179,000 so the trade works under the CBA. Detroit reports that moving Anderson was a steep price, but felt ultimatley that the combination of young assets and Humphries more aggressive style of play complimented their defensive oriented core better than Hedo & Anderson. Elliot Williams is a tremendous prospect and will see time at both PG and SG.

Confirmed. We will need to somehow upgrade our defense later on, but for now Hedo brings playmaking, solid rebounding and 3 point shooting. Anderson replaces Humphries, a solid strech 4 with potential.

Trade #100

The Denver Nuggets and Portland Trailblazers would like to announce a trade.

Tristan Thompson -$3,202,500
2012 NYK top-5 protected 1st
2012 NJN 1st
2012 OKC 1st

for

Ryan Anderson -$2,244,601
Earl Clarke -$854,389
Worse of DET and TOR 2012 1st

We do this to add another high lottery pick. Losing 3 2012 picks hurts, but they were from teams who will likely all be picking in the 20s. We like Ryan Anderson and what he brings to the table, and think that he fits well with our current starters. Losing Thompson was tough, but because it gets us a shot at a top-3 pick in a far superior draft, we do it. Good dealing.

We like the return here, Thompson is a mobile, athletic big man who was the 4# pick in the prior draft. The 3 1st's will surely come in handy as well...

Man, my old pick is getting passed around like a cheap hooker!!

Just wanted to clarify that this pick is the middle pick of the Toronto, Detoit and Portland picks. While I'm sure that Portland will be the lowest, just wanted to make sure everyone was aware.

NYK sends:

Darell Arthur, [2,027,119]

Didn't want to pay Arthur in the off season.

TRADE #102

Toronto Raptors and Dallas Mavericks have agreed to the following deal:

Dallas receives:
PF Ed Davis ($2,063,040)
2013 1st RND (Toronto)
2014 1st RND (Toronto)
2014 1st RND (Oklahoma City)

Toronto receives:
PF Derrick Williams ($3,955,400)

Toronto accepts the deal. We feel DWill is a premier talent and will only get better. Salaries work because Toronto has enough room under the cap to absorb the difference.

Accepted. Needed a definitive 4, Williams is convinced he's a 3 when he plays like a 4, obvious split personality case.

Prior to this deal, Charlotte waives Shawne Williams and Matt Carroll. Yes, I'll show them both on my roster including the amount owed this year (and next, for Carroll).

Charlotte accepts. Very deep at PF, like Neal's 3-point shooting.

The Nuggets do this to shed our two worst contracts and get back two players who can contribute in Greivis Vasquez and JJ Barea. Losing Afflalo hurts, but the added cap room in 2012 will really help us moving forward. The Nuggets are in full rebuild mode.

**Memphis will be away this weekend, so he e-mailed Roc to let him know that he has accepted the trade.

memphis was sad about the departure of battier so we just decided to upgrade our roster. afflalo fits in like a glove on the roster

$2 026 000 TPE (Lebron James)

The Nuggets do this to shed our two worst contracts and get back two players who can contribute in Greivis Vasquez and JJ Barea. Losing Afflalo hurts, but the added cap room in 2012 will really help us moving forward. The Nuggets are in full rebuild mode.

**Memphis will be away this weekend, so he e-mailed Roc to let him know that he has accepted the trade.

memphis was sad about the departure of battier so we just decided to upgrade our roster. afflalo fits in like a glove on the roster

To make this trade work, Denver sends Reggie Jackson to Memphis and in return take back MEM 2012 2nd and 2015 1st (lottery protected).

Blazers and Hornets have agreed to a deal!

Blazers send:
Carlos Boozer (13,500,000)

Hornets send:
Klay Thompson (2,284,250)
Amir Johnson (5,500,000)
Randy Foye (4,250,000)

Salaries: $12,034,250*1.25 = $15,042,813 > 13,500,000. Works!

Wanted to clear up space for signing FAs in '12 from Amir, but giving up Foye's expiring instead as well to get back Boozer is a deal we like. Wall doing the pick 'n roll with Boozer is something we'd love! It was tough to give up klay too, but we feel getting back some big talent after losing Blatche was worth it. Great dealing, blazers!

We cut Kapono and Carter before this trade. Confirmed. I get a nice young defensive minded PF in Amir Johnson, a lotto pick in Klay and a decent sized expiring.
