First rumor, Pats have interest in Jets Brad Smith.

Interesting, I don't know where he would fit...

According to his agent, Sammy Morris is back with the club.

Good news, I liked Morris in the FB role. Who knows what RB's will or will not make the team though. So far we have,

BenJarvis Green Ellis
Danny Woodhead
Shane Vareen
Ridley
Morris

and Faulk is still out there...

It's for a 5th round pick in 2013. Look forward to the contract details coming out.

I'm just shocked at this point. Waking up to that patriots deal will get you rubbing your eyes.

Okay, I'm excited. A couple things,

It's only a fifth round pick.
-Okay the money could be difficult, we are hearing 5 million. But lets say it doesn't work out, does BB eat crow? No, he'll just move on to his other daily duties and get this team ready for the season like he did with Moss, mid-season.

His rapsheet
-No bones around it, his rap-sheet is worse up there with Moss. But it worked out there for 3 years, why shouldn't it work out here?

The 3-4, 4-3 debate
-I am listening to DandC and one of them is clowning on the fact that he only likes playing the 4-3 hates the 3-4. And, like any loudmouth radio host will do, he began to claim that the patriots can't just change their defense for this guy. Did this guy not watch the games last season? I believe we had a changing D scheme in the middle of games.

finally, I don't know what to title this point, I'll just say it, if this works out...

Wilfork, Haynesworth, Ty Warren, Gerard Warren, Marcus Stroud, Mike Wright, Ron Brace

Holy D-line depth. Best D-line for the patriots....ever?

This trade is awesome. Albert was a bum in Washington, but when he was on he was one of the best defensive tackles in the nfl. If anyone can make him return to who he was with the Titans, its us.

For all the BS at Washington when he played he was double teamed 39.5% of the time top 5 for any lineman in the NFL.I got that off of a Patriot and Redskin fansite. That means coaches still view him as an impact player.Marcus Straud has been cut

Holy wow, we just got Ochocinco too!!!

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/i ... ource-says

I've been waiting for this trade for a long time now. The thing I love most is that it's a 3 year deal. I totally see this being the best acquisition since Moss. He loves bill, he loves brady, and new england will love Ochocinco!!

What now? lol.

I mean we obviously did WAY more than I thought we'd do. But still didn't go after the OLB that I thought we would. Not a big one of course, but do they still sign someone like Matt Roth, or Manny Lawson, or do they call it a day.

Either way, I'm still in love with the off-season. Way to go BB!

Patriots cut Ty Warren.

:(

I assume it was health. Hopefully haynesworth works out.

Still though sucks to see Ty, a veteran on this team leave.

They also cut Kazcur and Alge Crumpler.
