Frasor/Thames/Stewart for Rasmus/Teahen is a good deal. Hopefully we get some cash sent our way. Teahen's owed 7.2 million next season.

going out: frasor(to CWS), rauch(to STL), stewart (to CWS)and sierra(to STL)
coming in: Rasmus and teahan

The expectation is that we're going to have to give up a fair bit in the Jackson-for-Rasmus side of things, so if the prospect heading to STL is significant, the deal gets a wee bit more arsehole-puckering. Not that it becomes a bad deal by any stretch, but it might not be bowl-me-over good.

I've been operating on the premise that LaRussa's idiocy lowered the price enough for Rasmus to be available, but Mozeliak's lack of idiocy will ensure that we still have to give up a fair bit, but I guess that time will tell.

The inclusion of Rauch isn't a guarantee; as it stands, it's Frasor + Stewart + ??? = Rasmus + the desiccated corpse of Mark Teahen.

One scary thought: how much of Teahen will Farrell throw out there?
