Beasley for Thornton (S&T ~5.5mil)
Cousins / Thompson
Beasley / Hickson
Salmons / Beasley
Evans / Garcia
Jimmer / Evans
Darko / Tolliver
Love / Randolph
W Johnson / D Williams
Thornton / Webster
Rubio / Ridnour
Could be an improvement for both teams? Does it put too many "questionable characters" in the Kings?

Hey maybe Beasley's weed habit will rub off on DMC and he'll mellow out a little?

The Kings have the SF position covered, so Marcus stays.

Don't like the fit for Sac.... Jimmer/Tyreke/Beas/DeMarcus could be a nightmare. All young guys who need the ball and likely want to feel like the #1 option.

Thornton will come crashing down to earth with Tyreke next to him this season.
No thankyou. not at that much money.

"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Re: SAC / MIN
Kings pass. Thornton 3 point shooting is far more valuable than Beasley's 'scoring prowess' would be. I think the value is on par with the fit being atrocious.

Um... Beasley and Thornton shot the same % from 3pt.

LOL
Evans and Thornton were fine together. In the last 12 games (when Evans returned), the team was 6-5. Evans averaged 6 assists per game despite both Cousins and Thornton having the ball more than him.
As for the trade, no thanks.

Percentages were pretty much the same but Thornton averaged nearly twice as many attempts per game as Beasley. Generally percentage goes down as attempts go up.
That said, I wouldn't do this as a Kings fan. Beasley may be a worse fit than Salmons (albeit a better player) at the 3 whereas Thornton seems almost perfect next to Tyreke.

Yet Beasley shot more 3s this past year and made a higher % compared to the year before and Thornton shot less 3s this past year and made a lower % compared to the year before. Funny.

Re: SAC / MIN
I'd rather keep Thornton
They only thing i don't want is the Kings resigning Dally. He is just waiting for the big check to become a lazy ass again like in Philly

You're using .7% to make this argument(not even being a relevant nor valid one at that as I'll show you below) while being an overall worse 3 point shooter over their careers? Thronton shot 37.4% from downtown last year. And shot 36.7% this past year.
Beasley shot 27.5% and jumped up to the respectable 36.6%.
Even though Beasley's been in the league an extra year their career 3 point totals are:
Beasley - 121/347 = 34.9%
Thornton - 205/553 = 36.7%

Re: SAC / MIN
Odds are as you shoot more 3's your % will drop so the fact that Thornton had more attempts and shot a higher percentage is very indicative in this circumstance.

Re: SAC / MIN
Talent wise it's not bad, but Kings say no for fit reasons alone.

What odds are those? Can you calculate them for me?
And if I miss my first shot, does that mean my 3P% will drop as my sample size increases and I shoot more?
What kind of math are they teaching you in guys in California?
