Too bad Cooper couldn't play 2B. A high OBP is exactly what this team needs at that position. But unfortunately he is somewhat challenged just holding down 1st.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I was hoping he'd regress to just average but he bottomed out. Too bad--there aren't many lefties who can throw even remotely hard. He just can't get the movement on his fastball and that makes him scared to throw it.

Ah well. Wrong twice....!!!

Bonus for me.

Meh... this game makes us all eat our share of humble pie. Here I was thinking the Yankees were beatable this year. Next year it's going to happen!

Yeah, I wish for that every year. How in the h**l did the Yankees get the innings they have from retreads like Colon and Garcia for the whole first half? If they pitched for any other organization they would have been laughed out of town (and probably not given half the calls). Oh well.

What's great about this year, now, is that all the dead wood is gone and we are finally gonna get to see the youngin's play! Let's hope they end the charade with Lawrie soon and call him up.

I'm kind of scared of the trade deadline-- I wonder if AA has no choice but to pony up for a trade for Ubaldo because he can't go toe to toe with the Yanks and Bosox for Darvish.
