With the signings of Williams and Cobb, it leaves only four picks to be signed: Sherrod, third-rounder Alex Green, fourth-rounder Davon House and seventh-rounder Lawrence Guy.

Rob Demovsky
Contract for Derek Sherrod almost done, source said. Numbers are finished. Holdup is how many years the #Packers are going to guarantee.

God (TT) we pwned this draft, seeing all these signings is reminding me how we nailed almost every round.

Always liked the guy. If he still wants to play I hope he gets a shot. I'll always feel bad for the guy for getting seriously injured in a contract year.

One of Ron Wolf's best 7th round picks. Still amazed Wolf got two great starting tackles in one draft.

That's probably it for vet cuts (under contract) for now unless Underwood goes.

Who knows, maybe Rodgers can convince Ted to bring Tauscher back on the cheap end. Of course, he'd have to be willing to go for it as well.

OK, only going to say this once: Thompson will use cap space to sign rookies, maybe James Jones and save the rest for Sitton, Finley, Nelson

Must be idiots tweeting him asking which free agents we will go after. Some people never learn that TT is so dominant he targets his own free agents not other teams garbage.

If we some how extended Jones, Sitton, Finley, and Nelson I would be in heaven.

Sounds like the Jets could be interested in Jones. :(

http://jetsfuelblog.com/

Another story line showing some sparks is the New York Jets are showing interest in former packers wide receiver, James Jones.

“Who will be starting alongside Santonio Holmes? Hearing that #Jets are showing interest in Packers WR James Jones,” via @RichCimini from ESPN New York.

Jones was a slot wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers last season but is highly underrated. He played in the slot position with Jordy Nelson. Jones speed and athleticism makes him a strong option to possibly be a starting wide receiver in the league. With it highly unlikely the Jets will be able to re-sign Braylon Edwards after the Jets possibly spend a lot of cash on Nnamdi Asomugha, a lower key guy like a James Jones is a strong possibility to come in and give another solid weapon to Mark Sanchez.

I don't know the details of his contract but a lot of guys have roster bonuses for being on the first day of the season so they had to get rid of him or pay his roster bonus is my guess.

I don't see them extending Finley, Sitton or Nelson just yet. TT always likes to keep some cap space open during the season just in case. But if it gets to be December he'll starting doing it because some of the bonuses could be used on this years cap, if we still have some available.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
