Free Agent

When the league starts up again who would you guys most want the bucs to acquire?

I feel like the obvious choice would be asomugha and i would love to have him, but would he make it so we could only sign him?

I would personally love to see them target a big name Wide Receiver. With the young core we have at WR now, and add a PLAX, or one of the Jets to freemans arsenal and it could be a very good offense. There are other high quality WR's also.

One guy i would also love to try and get but would be a long shot is Reggie Bush. A backfield of Blount and Bush could be deadly. (im from oregon so i may be biased, but Blount is real) I dont know how much Bush would cost though.

What do you guys think?

OL, CB and RB are needs. Specifically RT, I think Larsen and Zuttah will compete for LG. I think Rudd, Joesph, Black and Crowder(still young, provides depth, well liked in locker room) should be re-signed.

At RT, I'd take any of the following FA's: Alex Barron, Doug Free, Willie Colon, Tyson Clabo and Jared Gaither, prefer Clabo or Gaither.

CB, word is the Bucs will keep Talib, his trial is not till March. He will probably be suspended by Bucs/NFL a minimum of 4 games. Ronde can still play and I like Biggers and Lewis. Would still be nice to add depth though, who knows with Goodell maybe he suspends Talib all season.

CB FA's Bucs could pursue: Nnamdi Asomugha, Ike Taylor, Jonathan Joesph, Antonio Cromartie and Eric Wright. I'd be happy with any one of those.

RB, Blount will get majority of carries, Caddy may be re-signed, he can still block, Blount can not. I don't see Lumpkins and Huggins sticking around long.

FA RB's and un-drafted FA RBs: Ahmad Bradshaw, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Mike Tolbert, Darren Sproles, Noel Devine(UND), Derrick Locke(UND) Shaun Draughn(UND)

I'd like the Bucs to get a speedy back to complement Blounts' power, be happy with Sproles or Devine or Locke all are speedy backs.

Also maybe FB, Lorig is the penciled in FB. Could sign un-drafted FA Henry Hynoski, 6'2 260 this guy was a beast at Pitt, watch some of their games. He can block well, catch the ball out of the backfield, can run with the ball a bit too.

Also we don't need a big name WR, we are set with Williams, Benn, Brizcoe, Straughter and Parker.

I'd love to see Devine come to Tampa.

His talent would fit in nicely with the Bucs.

+ 1 Don't know why they drafted Bradford, could have just taken Devine.

Unless they know something about Devine that we don't know. The guy has had his share of issues....

He has, but Bucs are known for giving players second chance's who have had past issues. IE Aqib, Tanard, Mike Williams, Jeremy Stevens, LaGarrette Blount.

Spurlock will sign Bucs tender, will return as KR/PR/WR. Same role he has been in.

Word is Bucs have made an offer to FA CB Jonathon Joesph. They made an offer to Ike Taylor, but he re-signed with Steelers.

FA RT Clabo re-signs with Falcons.

Bucs and Cowboys were in bidding war for FA RT Doug Free. Cowboys won the battle and re-signed Free.

So much for Jonathon Joseph, Schefter just tweeted Joseph will sign with Texans. Deal announced tomorrow.

Joseph and Trueblood re-signed. Joseph got a 7 yr deal and Trueblood a 2 yr deal. I'm guessing the Bucs don't sign a FA RT after re-signing Trueblood. Trueblood will compete with James Lee for RT spot.

GREAT pickup. He'll be doing kickoffs for us, and is one of the best in the business at it. Important with the league moving the kickoffs up 5 yards. Lots of touchbacks.

He will also punt. Barth will kick the FG's.
