Yea, but you have to think it will make our offense even worse next year. That's horrifying. Plus Angelo is a terrible drafter. This trade doesn't make me feel any better about the Bears.

Eh, Mike Mart's offense uses 4 WR a lot(5 if you count the RB), and TEs are used to block. Greg Olsen is a bad blocker, and we've got good blocking TEs to create time for Williams, Knox, Bennett, Hester, and Forte to get open.

It's the 2nd year under Martz, the 3rd year under Cutler, Knox, Bennnett, Hester, and Forte should improve, and it looks like our o-line with be better with Gabe Crimini. At the very least Crimini'll make our run game better which will free up the passing game.

I will be shocked it our offense isn't better next year. However, I don't like our 2 best defensive players getting one more year out of their primes...

As an MSU alum, I'm excited to see Kellen Davis get more PT this year. He played 2 ways at Michigan State and can block and pass catch.

Seattle's Brandon Mebane is younger, better, and has ties with current Bears director of player personnel Tim Ruskell (former Seahawks president and GM). Cullen Jenkins would be a good pickup as well.

And, yes, I'm assuming Marcus Harrison will not enter in the rotation discussion as he's probably 50 lbs overweight already.

Either Mebane or Jenkins would be really nice pickups. ICLO, it's important that we get a guy there that can make an impact cause it'll make Julius Peppers all that much more dangerous. Outside of the offensive line, this is the position we should be looking to spend some money on.

I think acquiring Cullen Jenkins is unlikely but I would like Mebane. And I agree that DL should be where the most money goes after OL. I would like to get a nice young DE like Cliff Avril along with Mebane. And I hope we get a cb like Carlos Rogers since Tillman is getting old, Jennings has one year left on his deal and I have no idea what the state of Zachary Bowman's contract is (extended?).

The moment that we switch offensive coordinators & move to a more conventional offense, we will regret trading Olsen. I believe that he will be the top receiving Tight End in the NFL very soon.

I think he's not great, I think he's pretty good though and not a run of the mill pass catching TE, so 3rd round pick is pretty good return for a player in the NFL, I agree with Biggie post Martz they would probably love to have a player like that.
