Personally I perfer picking, winner, round, method, but I'm good with whatever the consensus is. If we are doing it with this 10 point system, that's fine too.

Perhaps though, if you where do winner/round/method, you could assign more points to each category, thus allowing for more seperation. I.E. 3 pts for Winner, 2 points for round and 1 point for method or something of that ilk.

I like keeping it simple. Plus it looks like it's going to hard enough to get people to do this much. Here are my picks:

Both.

Each event has to be scored, but then there will be a running score as well. Maybe with new divisions every few events to allow newcomers.

But this is the event we're starting with, so whoever is interested should get their picks in.

I think the best way to do it going forward will be to keep a running total, and then an average score, to allow people to join later on to still be able to compete with everyone. Makes more sense than arbitrarily resetting every few events. And of course, each event is a competition in and of itself.

I'd like having both the running total and average score, with more weight on the average score since it's independent of the number of events one has participated in. The best possible score is a 55 with our current 10-pick format. It's easier to keep track of and easier for newcomers to get right in, since the averages gives them something to compare their score to right away.
