You could always buy him and loan him back to Anderlecht for another season.

That's what I thought too but from the interview it didn't sound like he wanted to be loaned out at all. Maybe he's just against the idea of playing for a club as property of another :dontknow:

Yeah staying at Anderlecht for another year is what I thought. We buy him now but effectively he doesn't until summer 2012. I'd happily have him now but I can't see many minutes with Torres, Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge and Kalou fighting it out.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Anyone else think Arsenal might fold within the first 4 weeks? Their schedule looks brutal and if Nasri/Fab leave they have very limited experience or depth.

Knowing Arsenal, they'll win against Newcastle, Liverpool and Swansea, draw Man U in the first month giving everyone hope. Come December, January, they'll wilt like... well... Wilt.

I heard the football was great and the game matched the occasion. Need to get on the highlights once I get home.

Looks like we beat both Manchester clubs and stole a 16 y/o wonderkid from Celtic by offering 2.5k a week. Their fans are furious (and rightfully so) because the club actually saved his family from being deported when he was 5.

I wanted to compare him to Barry Sanders, but part of the reason Sanders retired was the weight of all the losing seasons and disappointment. Scholes had success. Maybe he wants to walk out on top, knowing he could keep going if he wanted to.

Sturridge with a second. He's a gem. It sucks that he's banned for the first three games :(

And of course Kalou's ****

Mikel's injured. We might be going into the next season without a DM...

Yeah the it was tough watching Neville's plight towards his last months when he ended up looking like a liability on the field. Scholes I think could still give one good season and end up retiring at the top though but better be safe than look bad by reaching too far.

Not surprising, Cappello and Psycho rate him very highly, I will be surprised however if he gets more than 10 minutes.

I also see your on an Entourage spree right now.

Bunch of us guys on the Lakers board started watching it over the past month or so with lack of basketball.

Looks like Spurs are close to signing Lassana Diarra. Very good signing imo. They have a very good midfield and if they can add a solid striker (Forlan) they'll be a good competition to take the top 4 spot.

Brad Friedel was a very underrated acquisition even for the short term.

Hey I'm with you man, I love Entourage :D

According to Redknapp though if they want to add further pieces they'll have to offload, in the case of getting Forlan looks like they'll have to sell Modric.
