Rose is better overall, and more of a cornerstone for a title team. Also not sure on Deron's personality with the coaching staff. Wouldn't want him back talking my coaches.

This is tough. Deron just had a down year and Rose was the MVP. I would like to see what Deron does in Jersey before making that assesment.

For what it's worth, I think Deron was a better fit for the Jazz than Rose would have been and Rose was a better fit for the Bulls than Deron would have been.

Yes, OP, we know. Deron won't win a comparison as easily as Paul did, so Paul > Deron. We get it.

Deron Williams pretty easily for me. Rose is good, he's more of a shooting guard incapable of getting the best out of his supporting cast but if he's getting those ticky tack fouls he can rack up points at a very high rate.

Rose is definitely the flashier player though. Will probably sell more tickets than Deron no matter what.

I don't have any kind of agenda though. And if you look at the Chris Paul or Derrick Rose poll, Paul isn't winning. :lol:

A few weeks ago someone brought up why doesn't Deron Williams get ranked against All-Time greats the way Paul does. This isn't an all time great comparison but Deron doesn't get many comparison threads here on RGM's pc forum. Why is that? So I thought I'd start one.

I still think D-Will is the better player, but it's not a huge gap, so I'm taking the considerably younger player.

i feel like the difference right now is on the defensive end. if rose will improve up to williams level, then i'd have to take rose. otherwise, williams gives you everything you'd want from a pg

Based on what? He scores a little more shooting at a worse volume, is inferior to Deron everywhere else.

lol, can't believe Rose is leading that vote.
this is Deron.

I dunno how to grade the evaluation skills of realGM when the 3rd biggest user-base is chicago bound and the smallest user base Jersey/Utah bound.
all those votes get **** up because the fanbase of team X (here: Bulls) is 4 times as big as the other fanbase because they don't use realGm as their main community site.
