Time to drop Lind lower in the order?

Post#1 » by dagger » Sun Aug 7, 2011 8:10 pm

He's struggling. His average since the start of July is in Jayson Nix territory and he isn't hitting enough power shots.

So how about a new batting order, perhaps in a week or so when Lawrie is a bit more comfortable?

Escobar
Rasmus
Lawrie
Bautista
Encarnacion
Lind
Thames
Arencibia
Hill/McDonald

Maybe Lind in front of EE just so you don't have back to back lefties.

They'll never move Bautista out of #3.

Escobar SS
Thames LF
Bautista RF
Encarnacion DH
Rasmus CF
Lawrie 3B
Lind 1B
McDonald 2B
Arencibia C

IMO, this is the best way to separate power and speed in the lineup while also spreading out the lefties/eighties.

i see alot of you have Arencibia as the 9th or 8th hitter...... does he have the power for the clean up role, on a temporary basis?

i mean he is showing more power than all the other guys there (this season atleast)

He has the power, but has nothing else. All of his ~league average value comes from his power.

I wouldn't move Lind personally.

same here....

i mean the JAYS seem very impatient for a team that isen't going anywhere anytime soon. Lind is relatively young for a MLB player, like Snider also. This season is not the big show, so let them learn from their pains.

Lind sucks for now..... but there is no one else on this roster as of now that is a better suited for the 4th hitter role than Adam Lind, except for Jose Bautista who is 3rd.......... (as of now) but i guess someone can earn it in the long run
