@Danny Darko,
You know the red cock is not a common sauce here in Vietnam. It's actually too spicy for the normal Vietnamese locals. But in California anywhere theirs a Pho or Vietnamese restaurant, it's like ketchup to a Denny's.

I was in the car with my best friend in HCM City today. He made some sort of traffic error that got the attention of the Viet Popo. He pulls over, gets out of the car right away with his license and registration. Talks to the traffic cop about what he did wrong. Goes back to the car and asks me for 400,000 VND to bribe the cop to let us go. After this 10 minute ordeal, we leave.
That is the usual procedure when it comes to getting pulled over. If I was in a motorbike, it normally costs about 200,000 VND. If you don't have that and/or if you don't have a Vietnamese Driver Licenses, they would impound your vehicle.
This is so much the opposite of getting pulled over in the US. In the US, you get a expensive ticket and maybe even traffic school. You never give the police money to be let go. Sure 400,000 VND is like $20.00. If the VN one time took your VN driver license away, it would cost about 800,000 VND to get it back. There is no such thing as getting a traffic ticket here.
Just one of many things that I found that in Vietnam is the opposite way of doing things here.
