Top 5 DT in NFL
My friend and I were arguing that Jay Ratliff was a top 5 DT in the league. I said he was not and he said he was. What's your guys take?

Re: Top 5 DT in NFL
Casey Hampton, Vince WIlfork, Darnell Dockett, Ndamukong Suh, Haloti Ngata, B.J. Raji, Kevin Williams, Kyle Williams.
In no particular order, those are 8 of the best in the game. So no, Ratliff is not top 5.

How can you not put Ratliff in that list of DT's ? have you seen what hes done for the Cowboys defense and how affective he is

DT?
NT?
Kind of hard to really combine them.

I'm not saying he's bad. I'm deeming him not as good as the 8 I mentioned and answering the question the OP asked.
Which name would you like to debate?

It's really hard for him not to look good when OGs are swinging outside to help double team Demarcus Ware.

Most Dallas fans tend to overrate their own players. This should be no surprise. I believe that Ngata is the best DT in the league. That dude is a beast and he can disrupt both passing and running games.

Re: Top 5 DT in NFL
My top 5:
1. Haloti Ngata
2. Ndamukong Suh
3. Kevin Williams
4. Vince Wilfork
5. Richard Seymour
I agree with stud; Ratliff had a couple of seasons where he definitely belongs in the argument but last year wasn't one of them.
BJ Raji and Sedrick Ellis are closing in on this list too.

I'd love to you see you do a top 5 or top 10 for the different positions and why. Next time you need an idea for an article you should put one together.

Whatever happened to Antoine Odom?
You sure you don't mean Antwan Odom? Atonine Odom is a guy who in Texas infected people with HIV and Aids. Antwan shouldn't be on any top 5 list Icness pretty much nailed the top 5 with Seymour maybe the odd guy out. Hell I would take Fred Robbins off the Rams or Jason Jones off the Titans or even Chris Canty off the hated Giants before Odom at this point.

Seymour underperformed his first year in Oakland, but dude was an absolute beast last year. Him and Tommy Kelly were one of the best DT tandems in the entire league.
As for top 5. I honestly don't watch enough of other teams to give an accurate list.

Re: Top 5 DT in NFL
^^
Dockett is an excellent choice.
I like Peko but he's not to that level. Yet if he played for the Pats or Packers he'd never miss a Pro Bowl and in Cincy he'll never sniff one.

Any list without Kyle Williams is a complete joke.
