Heard about this earlier today, talks were held but they haven't reached an agreement yet. But seems pretty serious. Crazy stuff if it goes down.

I have the feeling that Sneijder won't end up in Manchester.
United and Inter seem to have trouble getting a transfer fee together and Sneijder doesn't seem like the guy who would play for City.

There was a rumour they are making a large bid for Arshavin as well, but it's been denied thus far.

Arda Turan finally left Galatasaray, heading to Atletico for a reported 12 million Euro move.

Re: Transfer Thread 2.0! New and improved
Stoke signed Matthew Upson the other day on a 2 year deal. Obviously on a free so there's no downside, but I don't get it. They've got Shawcross, Huth and now Woodgate/Upson in central defense. I'm all for competition within a squad but that's a bit much. I'm really interested to see how Stoke play out the rest of the transfer window though. Linked with Bendtner among other strikers (as well as Palacios in the midfield). They're already tough enough to play against, adding a guy like Palacios and some ammunition up front to team with Kenwyne Jones/Etherington on the wing would be really intriuging.

Bendtner could dominate for them.

Seems like they're more interested in Crouch atm, not sure if Bendtner would want to go to Stoke.

Aren't you a Man Utd fan? Vidic, Ferdinand, Smalling, Jones, Evans......

And considering Woodgate's probably gonna play maximum of 3 games, they are gonna be just fine.

Re: Transfer Thread 2.0! New and improved
29 + 6 (if Barca wins 2 league titles and a CL trophy) + 5 (Fabregas' money) deal looks to be done. I wonder if Arsenal fans will be cheering for Barca for the 6M

@TransferSecrets is a legend. Tweeted that Mata was signing with Liverpool at 5.30 for $22m, repeatedly said he wasn't lying, then posted a link to this image as his proof:

And, according to reports, this is only in Euros. If we were going to fold so easily and get back maybe 75% of Cesc's value--which we only will of Barca wins the CL again--we could have done it months ago and not have had it drag on like this.
We only get 30m euro to invest back into the squad right now. Not worth it, not even close for a player under contract until 2016.

Re: Transfer Thread 2.0! New and improved
Pretty poor offer, I think.
Hill-Wood should stick to this:
“Their offer was nowhere near what we are looking for. It is very straightforward from our point of view. We have told them what we want and we are sticking to it.
“We do not think we are being at all unreasonable when you see the sort of prices players are being sold for, who are not even half as good as Cesc.
“Barcelona are offering extra payments which are dependent on all sorts of fantastical things, but we are not interested in that. We want them to pay what he is worth.”

Reinvested isn't enough, it has to be reinvested in one player.
