He will have a great year and further prove you skeptics wrong about his age limiting him.

He is our MOST CLUTCH WR INSIDE the numbers and quite frankly, Jones and Nelson have not proven this.

The Super Bowl proves how un clutch those two were with all of the drops :-?

DD was hurt and had an off year, he may be old but he still has it

we talked about Favre getting old and he had that 2007 season and then he had that 2009 season

players that know how to play will still perform

give our man his due and quit short changing him

I feel like this person still looks at batting average as a deciding metric for baseball players, no?

Other teams can go out and beat the hell out of each other all they want. But when you have the most talented team in the league it's like running a gauntlet of potential injuries.

Yep. I don't care if any of them play a down preseason.

Same.

Really sweet read with comments by Kurt Warner on why repeating is hard and on Rodgers:

Insider article regarding the next Kolb, as in the young QB highly valued around the league. #1 is our guy.

1. Matt Flynn, Green Bay Packers
There's nothing remarkable about Flynn's limited numbers, but he fits two key profiles in that (A) he's not starting anytime soon in Green Bay, and (B) he's drawn interest on the trade market as a smart quarterback who could, all together now, "be starting for some other teams." Remember that 11 years ago, Matt Hasselbeck was traded by the Packers having thrown just 29 total passes. Flynn's time could come soon.

2 - Clausen
3 - Hoyer
4 - Young
5 - Leinart
6 - Tebow
7 - Kafka
8 - Mallet
9 - J. Johnson
10 - Stanzi

The only way I see the Packers getting something for him is if Rodgers goes down for a few games and Flynn keeps GB afloat. Maybe he becomes worth tagging and trading.

Can't we get a pretty good comp pick for Flynn if someone signs him for starter type money and he plays enough games/plays well enough?

Cannot post an Insider article.

As for Flynn, isn't he an UFA after this year? Will TT pay him and then trade him in a year or two? I doubt it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Packers# Howard Green checked into camp at 375. He's got to get down, and night practices in unseasonably cool weather haven't helped.

More McGinn:

At this point, you'd take #Packers rookie FA OLBs Jamari Lattimore and Vic So'oto over D6 OLB Ricky Elmore. Thompson hasn't missed on many.

That's too fat, Howard. Really hope there's another DL out there we can pick up, unless Guy is coming on.

Howard must have been living up that super bowl victory.

Eli Joseph is practicing now too, curious to see him and Guy in a game. I wonder if Elmore is a guy thats awful in practice but shows up on gameday?

I've only watched a few snaps of his, but Jamari Lattimore has stood out a bit.

Disappointed that Ricky Elmore is getting beat out. I thought he'd come in and make a name for himself for sure.

Well, here's a light on the subject. McGinn:

Some scouts told me #Packers' Elmore was not a true tough guy at UA. That is Kevin Greene's thing. His selection was a stunner from get-go.

Disappointing, but interesting.

More interesting. Maybe a dark horse? Ty Dunne:

Totally agree with @BobMcGinn . Elmore has been invisible at camp. So'oto simply is better. Big, strong on outside.

Elmore is strictly a pass rusher transitioning from DE to OLB, who knows, but 26 sacks is still impressive and in the 6th round why not. Put him on the practice squad if nothing else, maybe he develops.

I was excited especially after reading about his working out with CM Sr. Oh well. If he sucks, he sucks.

So'oto was interesting to me purely from a size/speed perspective, and I saw the other day that he had one of the bigger signing bonuses of the UDFAs. Thing is, is there roster space for ANY of Lattimore, Elmore or So'oto? They're going to have to beat out one of the Jones/Zombo/Walden collective, aren't they?
