Jmac - I think you didn't get any votes because there isn't a starter 1 through 5 that would stop 80% of their opposing numbers. There isn't a single player there that would be considered a top defensive player at their position.

1st = Sachmo - As what you've said, aged but not done. I believe your team is poised for one final push for the championship.

2nd = Fred - CP3 - Horford/Bogut combination is going to be nasty. A very well-balanced team.

3rd = Kimu Taku - I'm not a fan of Billups (except when he's in Mr. Bigshot mode) but the Durant-Smith-Gasol trio will cause trouble for most of the teams here.

I really had a hard time picking for the 3rd place. It was a toss-up between Kimu Taku and Slam. Slam has better starters but I think Takuya has a better bench and four of his players have championship experiences which I think is enough to lead his team into the finals.

No offense,but Jaruff has Gilbert Arenas playing 34minutes,Mayo or Arenas at SF for >10 minutes,Amir/Amare/Brand at SF for ~6 minutes and Brand at C for 20 minutes,I can't even believe some guys voted him first.

wow.... by my count we have a 3 way tie for 1st place. can someone double check my numbers.

Sachmo - 18
Fred - 18
Ian - 18
Jaruff - 9
Takuya - 8
Countryboi - 7
Fat - 4
Slam - 3
Stun - 1

* Crunk voted for both Slam and Fred for 3rd place. I gave them both 1 pt. However, considering Fred is involved in a 3-way tie for 1st I am going to ask Crunk to pick either Slam or Fred for 3rd.

** Assuming the vote stands, how should we do the tiebreaker? Should we let outsiders vote? Thoughts?

If I had to vote between the three, it's a really tough call between Sachmo and Fred. Looking at the lineups and how they work together, I'd probably go with Fred barely getting the win.

I would have McGee playing 30 minutes a game at the center. Lopez 18 minutes at Center and let him log the rest at PF. I think people are too stuck on defense, You do not have to have great individual defenders if you play good team defense. I just do not think my team would of been better starting Tony Allen at the SG compared to Derozan in the end. Derozan is a much more capable scorer and I think I would have the advantage at that position with Derozan if I were to play a team with Allen at the guard spot.

I assumed he'd be fired midseason and Beasley would start the 3.

At any rate, I don't think anybody considered these teams actually playing one another. Some of these teams would get clobbered against some of the other teams that aren't necessarily in the top 3.
