Luke's Jump Shot: "Looking Like Dirk Nowitzki's,"

Luke Walton isn’t looking to play overseas if the NBA labor dispute drags into the fall and delays or cancels the 2011-12 season. In fact, he remains optimistic that the two sides will settle their differences and there will be a season.

And if that’s the case, Walton plans on being in shape.

The Lakers forward has been working with a shooting coach, who according to Walton, has his jump shot looking like Dallas star Dirk’ Nowitzki’s’ he said Thursday at Matt Barnes’ Athletes vs. Cancer charity event in Rancho Palos Verdes. He was dead serious.

“It does,” he insisted.

I bursted out of my lockout hiding to post this.

I don't care what his jump shot LOOKS like. I could make my jump shot look like ray allens but i wouldnt be effective because thats just not the way i've shot the ball in my years of ball

First of all, Luke will not get a lot of playing time. His main man, Phil Jackson is no longer there to protect him. Then there is the fact that Luke is making 5 million a season and over the lux tax that comes out to over 10 million a year. If Farmar and Sasha get the boot. Luke should be the next one out the door. Plus he is 31 or 32 now. So no up side.

it might look like Dirk but unlike Dirk's its probably a miss 90% of the time and will most likely get blocked cause he gets no lift like Dirk but he nots 7foot :lol:
