Keeper League question

Post#1 » by Manhattan Project » Thu Aug 11, 2011 12:04 am

Simple background info:
Can't keep anyone in the first three rounds.
If you keep a player, you give up the round before you picked them. IE: Picked them in the fourth last year, you give up a third this year.

Dwayne Bowe Round 3
Michael Crabtree Round 6
Brandon Marshall Round 4
Santana Moss Round 4
Chad Ochocinco Round 4

Is it worth keeping any of these guys? You can keep three guys, I already have McFadden and Mendenhall that I'm keeping so I have one spot left.

I'm debating if Bowe is worth it, or do I take a flier on Ocho or Marshall.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
C- Maluach l Jackson l Hayes
PF- Okongwu l Newell l Salaun
SF- Wiggins l Bryant l McNeeley
SG- Thomas l Wallace l Nembhard
PG- Murray l Collier l Dillingham

I might lean Ocho, but I feel like a 4th round pick might be best spent on someone else.

Question about my keeper league. We can keep up to 5 guys. I think my keepers are Rivers, Turner, Best, Greene and Colston, which would leave out Maclin, Welker, Finley and Witten out (as well as some guys who are better suited as late round flyers -- Wells, Lynch, Carolina Smith, and Crabtree). I could also decide to keep four players and be the only player with a 5th round pick, in essence getting the first pick in the draft (or three players and get the first two picks, etc). What should I do?

Side note -- I'm also thinking of offering up Rivers+Turner for AP (keeping Maclin), or Turner+Finley for Rice (Rice owner has questions about his 5th keeper and loves Finley).

I don't like any of these guys as keepers for what you'd have to give up.
I'd see if you could do some trades before having to make your choices.

No advice out there for a poor little Canadian? Keeping Rivers and Turner, need to drop one of Greene, Best, Colston, Maclin.

I'm not a big fan of Javhid Best, Shonn Greene or M. Colston as keepers.
I'd much rather have Welker and Witten in place of two of those guys.

Best is definitely high risk, he seems to be really fragile

Keep Rice because of CJ's holdout. 2 rounds is not a huge difference. Plus Rice is gonna do well as the goaline back and with Leach as their new FB
