Cheers Fats.

I'm glad he thinks Henderson is going to break out next year...I'm kind of surprised he didn't say himself..lol

Does he think he's broken out??

In a way I guess it show's humility.

Is there a link to the rest of the article?

i like this one
Q. What part of your game do you want to improve and how are you working to get better?

I'm always working to improve every part of my game. Right now my biggest focus is a go-to move with my back to the basket

Tyrus got married! This is good news, both for him and for his game.

EDIT See?

Q. Tell us about your wife, how you met and how she's influenced you...?

My friends all say my wife is my "tamer." She's perfect for me because she's the only one that can calm me down when I'm fired up. She is!

We met in the sixth grade but didn't date until senior year of high school. Through college and my years in the NBA we had more than many rough patches, breakups, and hiatuses. Through it all our love stayed strong and persevered. She's pushes me every day to be a better Tyrus Thomas.

And Hendo!

Q. What Bobcat players have you become close to?

Gerald Henderson has become part of my family, literally. His name is mentioned in my house every day. His dog and my dogs are playground buddies. We've been working out and rehabbing together, preparing ourselves to help our team succeed.

EDIT: Sigh. Why is every basketball player obsessed with God?

How do we know that all these answers aren't just some guy in a "public relations" job just answering these questions? I'm a big Tyrus fan... I just can't fathom TT being "tame" or "analytical."

Well, I haven't met Tyrus, so all I know is that he is a passionate basketball player who sometimes allows that passion to hurt his game. Outside of that he could be a opera watching, classic reading, intellectual for all I know. I don't judge books by the cover.

anyone who follows tyrus' twitter account knows that he loves charlotte and is trying to connect with the fans here. just yesterday he gave away tix to lil wayne after posting his location at cheesecake factory and telling fans to come find him for tix.

tyrus was the one who reached out to bonnell for the interview, not the other way around.

Sigh. Why is every basketball player obsessed with God?

I would imagine that these kids are southern baptist, pentecostal, or nondenominational. These groups stress public affirmation of our faith. Pentecostal and nondenominational churches stress acknowleging God in all things. After all if God is GOD! If he is the all powerful creator and maintainer of the entire universe then TT acknowledging him for his athletic ability is a small thing.

I was talking specifically about Tyrus, but if you know some players that applies to 8-)

I don't understand Money. Why does it bother you so much?

Money? What?

At any rate, it bothers me because they're setting a bad example for young basketball fans. If I have kids I know I'll be annoyed if my kid's idol keeps blabbering on about the gods.

Money is a slang phrase similar to buddy, pal, homeboy, etc.

That is your personal opinion Money. I would wager that most people would disagree with you on this one. Most people would likely feel that he is displaying character. After all even our founding fathers were quite quick to publically honor God as well.

Regardless, the NBA is not Vacation Bible School.

What brilliant character, thanking his imaginary sky man for his ability to leap into the sky!

No they weren't. They were mostly deist.

Starting a religion debate is never a good idea, I've seen threads derail baaaadly because of stuff like that.
