+1

I'd like to see Thabeet involved in trade for an all star or star.... one can hope.

How is that a +1? Hill was used as a Center as well. If you want to get technical

Lowry- Dragic- Flynn
martin-Courtney Lee

You have 9 players for 3 frontcourt spots.
Budinger-Williams

PF-C with Hayes is 6 - 7 players.

P.Patterson- M.Morris - Luis Scola - Donatas Motiejunas
Hill - Hasheem- Chuck Hayes

All pining for P.T. That's an obvious logjam. :-?

But the difference between Chuck and any of those other players is that Chuck started at C. He was also our best post defender. That's why we would re-sign him. He's not as expendable as you obviously believe him to be.

If Chuck Hayes is not expendable then Luis Scola would seem to be the odd man out.

P.S. forgot to add Parsons and maybe Marcus Blake is expendable. That's 10 players for 3 frontcourt spots.

This is what Morey wanted. 1 Player for 2

Budinger-Williams - M.Morris
P.Patterson- Parsons - Luis Scola - Donatas Motiejunas
Biedrins- Chuck Hayes

That still leaves 9 players for 3 spots.

The roster is a work in progress at best. Morey is no where near finished. He is merely stock piling assets for a more prominent move. That is why we have such a log jam. I'm not insinuating that we won't go into the season with said logjam, we very well may. I'm saying that he will not be making moves to accommodate the current roster. Chuck, as well as Scola, could be a key piece to a championship roster. Plus his (Chuck) value with the Rockets is much higher than the rest of league, thus making him an undesirable trading piece. For these reasons, I don't see the Rockets moving him. So if I were you, which I'm not, I wouldn't read much into the current composition of the roster.
