Balague and SSN reporting that Chelsea's serious about Mata. Not a huge fan, but probably the best option available right now.

Interesting, I was wondering how long it would take for him to get linked to us. Seems we like paring up pockets of nationalities, with a couple of Frenchmen, Ivorians, and now Spaniards and Belgians.

He's the right kind of player though I have my doubts as to whether he is quite good enough. I wasn't all that impressed by him at the U21s.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The agent for Mauro Zarate is saying that Arsenal are in talks to sign him. I think he'd be an excellent signing.

Looks like Gilles Grimandi was seen watching a Marseille game, and as a result we've been linked with half their squad.

Rosickys not bad, but he's nit great, and makes some fairly dumb mistakes for a player of his experience. He's also pretty injury prone. A useful squad player, but not someone we should rely on playing week in, week out.

Right, but as the third option (only plays when there are two injuries)?

Let's say we get Schweinsteiger  then:

Schweinsteiger-Wilshere-Ramsey

If one gets injured then Song plays:

Song-Wilshere-Ramsey
Song-Schweinsteiger-Ramsey
Song-Schweinsteiger-Wilshere

If Song gets injured then Frimpong plays.

If another one gets injured Rosicky plays:

Song-Wilshere-Rosicky
etc

Schweinsteiger? Munich will never let him leave.

Actually, Munich never lets his best players leave.

Hargreaves was the last player they sold for big money. Even Lucio only left because van Gaal didn't want him.

Was purely wishful thinking. Linked to Milan recently.

Magath decided to continue his string of mindblowing signings and gave Hitzelsberger a new home.

Seriously... if you take everything that has been good about German soccer in the last two or three years and completely reverse it, you end up with his decisions.
If he was playing fantasy football, I'd say he was just trolling.

Posted this on the Arsenal thread

According to Arseblog Twitter, Nasri to Man City is done for £25m

Also, £200,000 per week and £5M net signing on fee...

What the crap...!

At least he finally came to the conclusion that Kjaer sucks. Honestly, all I've seen from that guy is a big disappointment. He was supposed to be a great defender and even Alex Madlung seemed to make less mistakes.

200,000 per week is absurd. He will be impossible to unload if he flops.

Hopefully this is the year Mancini wakes up and starts using some of that amazing attacking talent City has.
I'd always thought of propane as a dignified lady. But she can also be a dirty girl.

This probably means that Adam Johnson will be on the market.

Adam Johnson will likely warm the seat Adebayor vacates and Milner will warm the dressing room.

Milan keeps claiming they are going to sign "Mr. X' who is supposedly a difference maker. Schweinsteiger is the only name I continue seeing linked but I don't see Bayern letting him go. I doubt it happens since they are broke. It will probably be some young unknown Brazilian who they turn into the next Kaka and sell to Real for some astronomical price.

I think Mancini highly values Milner's defensive capabilities and willingness, that's why I don't see him leaving yet.

This is the silver lining of City's overspending. They will always have quality players to unload. Wouldn't mind seeing Johnson at Anfield.
