Wow, didn't know Pastore meant this much to them.
"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious."

Are they already through to the group stages then? I thought they would have to qualify.

Modric not in the squad for game against Hearts. Looks like transfer is close. Harry mentioned needing time to reinvest the money once the sale goes through so could be done by start of next week I guess.

Good game from Hannover vs. Sevilla.

Schalke losing 2-0 in Helsinki is a big blunder, though.

H96 showed some balls today, impressive win vs favored Seville. Schalke though does its best to "surpass" Mainz in terms of suckage.

Thank god we (GER) "only" have to defend 9.500 UEFA coefficient points this year (because German soccer clubs sucked so much in 2006-7) and Italy has to get 11.928 just to get even. Still, EL has been pathetic up to now.

It's up to Dortmund, Leverkusen and Munich to get points this season. The other teams won't get many points for us.
Dortmund and Leverkusen will need a lot of luck to reach the knockout stage in the CL because they'll get difficult groups. Dortmund is in pot 4 lol. They'll have a hard time not getting a burner group.
I hope they can at least both make it to the Europa League.
Munich should make it to the knockout stage in every group. They're in pot 1. Should be a good position. Might get a strong team from the 2nd pot but 3rd and 4th pot are usually beatable teams.

Probably not much to worry about. Milan and Lazio are the only teams I see with potential to reach the semi-finals.
Milan should go very far in CL this year...but I expect Inter to flop again, and Napoli isn't quite good enough for CL yet.
I think Lazio will do real well in Europa League, and Udinese may go far in EL also(assuming they get knocked out of CL by Arsenal)

Schalke vs Helsinki delivers. Schalke is now leading 5-1 after embarrassing themselves 0-2 in Finland, and Helsinki is far from beaten. 30 minutes to go!

Edit: Jari Litmanen is getting subbed in! Is he still playing?! holy smoke :o

Damn that should've been a penalty for Hannover. 1-1. That would've been game over for Sevilla.
