i think you're wrong...he could create for himself, of course he's not a show time player most of the time but he's one of the most efficient striker of last years

I think that video actually confirms that he's more of a finisher than a creator. You've obviously watched him much much more than me, but I still think it's safe to say he's a goal poacher, though certainly a great and efficient one as you mentioned

That's true. I'm not denying what you're saying, but i think he's not Mario Gomez that can't create even if his life depends of it. We made a very good sell, that's a lot of money, but i'm a bit sad because i think he could play for a better team (he would be good for Arsenal and even for Man United). Of course 450.000€/month is not easy to reject...

Falcao does need service to score, that is why he has not nearly the same player with the national team as he was in Porto and even River Plate. Having said that, I still think he will have enough creators in Atl Madrid to be a good goal scorer

No one talks about Arda to Madrid?

Bigger than Falcao to Madrid IMO.

Well Falcao got sold for a crapload of money, of course he's going to be a bigger hit.

@GuillemBalague

Was told today by a top source at Spurs that Modric will go too. If that is the case, if that happens... wow!!

Exciting times

EPL gets even more competitive.

How reliable is Balague? I ask because there's nothing on Sky Sports' transfer centre or the BBC's gossip section about Mata or Modric to Chelsea happening. Seems odd that neither of them have any mention of either transfer, given that both of those pages deal in rumours as wells as done deals.

I'd love to see Mata in the Premiership.

Balague is probably one of the more reliable pundits (especially when it comes to La Liga and/or Spanish players). I think he's been more often than not right.

Interesting. Chelsea playing with actual wide-men on the flanks instead of shoe-horning guys like Anelka into those positions (or using inferior options like Kalou) makes them significantly better. That said, if they are going 4-3-3, and AVB is dead-set on playing with genuine width and only one centre forward, surely one of Drogba or Anelka has to go, especially now that the Lukaku deal is final, too.

Modric as a creative force from the middle of the pitch adds a new wrinkle, too. They've definitely been more all-action/physical presence in the middle of the park than flair and finesse in the past. I like both moves if they pull them off.

Don't think either will leave tbh (especially Drogba). Bruce Buck said very recently that he realizes that the fans will kill him if the club sold Drogba and that they are working on a new contract. AVB also told Lukaku that he would be our 3rd striker behind Drogba and Torres this season.

The club denied the reports of Anelka wanting to leave (or/and the club wanting to sell Anelka), so he's probably staying too. He's going to be an expensive backup, but at least he's kinda versatile and can play multiple positions.

Thoughts on Lass to Spurs? I think he's solid value at 10M pounds, a quality addition especially if Palacios is leaving.

Always thought he looked better as a RB than as a DM. Anyway, it looks like he likes the London clubs.

What a steal, I'm a huge fan of Lass. Is he gonna play RB for sure?

This is what excites me, I actually think he's the most credible reporter our there in terms of the La Liga. Love that we're being aggressive, towards the end of the window, really hope that it does get sealed by the weekend.

Pretty much what you said, Drogba will never leave mainly because he's considered a Chelsea legend, and Anelka because he can be useful in some situations against certain teams as well as being a pretty good backup. I will say this though, I expect either him or Kalou to be shipped out first if we do decide to offload.

Ballsy. It'll be awkward if he scores.
