Also, today I hit right about the 40 lb lost mark since June of 2010. There were a few short breaks in there, but it was pretty interesting how I lost it.

225 down to 200 was just biking and natural improving of my diet given that I was no longer in college and decided to do smart things instead of knowingly eat a ton of drunk food, etc.

200 down to 190 was back and forth a few times. However, a big push and the final time was doing P90X fairly religiously.

I then hung in the low 190s for a while, but it's been mostly an improved diet even further. If I can't find a way to do some sort of working out most days, then I'll make sure that I'm really only having one heavy meal. Metabolism stays up enough to lose weight and I'm not starving myself, but eating a balanced diet to go along with it.

Down to 185 and rolling. I'd like to see what I look at at 175. For the longest time it was just a numbers game to getting back to where I was when I started college. Now that I'm here, I'd like to trim the small beer gut I still have. That may require a restart of P90X. Especially with **** weather around the corner.

Sidenote - maybe some of it was water weight, but I was worried about all the drinking/eating I'd do during a 4 to 5 day bender down at Lollapalooza eating out every day, drinking as soon as I woke up, and not sleeping. Truth is, I lost weight from all the walking, sweating, and jumping around. I'll see what the after effects are but it seems to me like it was a legit loss of weight.

Good on you dude. Awesome.

Last fall I got down to 189. I'm at 205 now but I'm confident that I'm healthier, in better shape, look better, getting more compliments, etc. Waist line is smaller, fitting into tee's I haven't worn since I was a freshman in college.

I'm not dieting, I'm just subbing foods. Ground poultry for beef, grilling instead of frying, soy milk instead of regular. Same stuff I've been doing for a year, just with exponentially more exercise and no holidays/Packer parties.

Biking has been the biggest thing. My lower body feels like it was cut out of granite. Since early in May if it hasn't been raining or 115° outside I've been on my bike for at least an hour every day. The challenge is going to be when the bad weather hits and the holiday season rolls around. At least I feel like I'm prepared for what's coming this time around.

Yeah, and that is great as well.

I think a real key in the summer is taking a walk. I made a drastic change from like 5-6 college roommates down to myself the past year and whenever I can if I'm bored I'll just take a walk. Helps if you're not in the mood to do a big workout.

As for your weight. I couldn't tell you how you are actually doing, but I would think part of that 205 is your legs as you noted. I remember when I started P90X I had almost a discouraging few weeks because I was putting on muscle weight.

I'm not looking by any means to have some model-esque body, but it is funny putting on old medium/small shirts. I'm similar in the fact that I mostly have tree trunk legs, but now that I put some old M/S shirts on, my arms don't even fill out the sleeves. Last year, the medium shirt would have been nearly ripping with my arms. Weak arm-strength FTL.

I keep having to stop by the store to pick up new clothes. If I go out on a weekend and want to look reasonably good, I can't take half of my shirts because they look like a nightgown now.

I don't know if you can do it, DB, but my remedy for my few bumps up in the weight when I don't have a ton of time to work out is this:

My cafeteria at work sucks, but the guy makes a great breakfast quesadilla/taco. On those days, maybe I'll have that. However, knowing I did, all I bring with is a stockpiled fridge of granola bars, fruit, and maybe some nuts. I slam water throughout the day and if I get hungry, I'll snack on that other stuff throughout the day.

If I know I'm going out to lunch on a day, I'll keep breakfast to fruit or I guess possibly some cereal with blueberries. I'll also make sure dinner is light that day.

That may sound simple, but I force myself into this now and I can do it. There were times at the end of college where it was just my norm to crave a big lunch even after having some huge omelet or something for breakfast. This wasn't easy before, but other than maybe hearing that my co-workers are going out for pizza for lunch and hearing my stomach growl, it is extremely easy now to just keep it light for the day.

Also, I was relatively absent from this thread for a while, but great job in here. Whether this freakin' forum has anything to do with it or not, it's cool. It seems like a large majority of main posters on this board are at least trimming off a ton of their weight or ramping up their workouts since they were already in good shape.

Nice job guys. Been so damn busy this summer, have sluffed a bit. Still fitting in one day of lifting, one day of basketball, two days of volleyball, and three days of Ab ripper. Would really like to get onto a three day a week workout routine and do it in the morning if I can find a good one. P90X was a little too extreme for my taste.

I've been drinking the Isopure ready drink for a week now and give it props. Very solid product and my body loves it.

The coming week I'm going to move into their powders to try those out and probably sample the smoothies as well.

I should thank you all. I don't post very often but I do read a fair amount of posts. I read this thread, and after meeting other people that did the P90x, I started it on August 1st. Its a great work out, hopefully I'll stay committed.

Got some size 32 shorts and jeans the other day. Pretty crazy, to think I wore like a size 38-40 5 years ago. Pretty crazy how working out and dieting can make a difference.

i was at 40 at one point, i have some stuff that's 34 now, it is pretty cool.

i will say though, that if you want cheap jerseys on ebay, it pays to be fat.

Had to go shopping for jeans again. Down to a 32" waist, about where I was at in junior high. This is insane.

i just went 84 of 90 minutes in my soccer game and i feel just fine. i never thought i'd be able to do that

also, i think my strained rotator cuff is nearly back to normal. i was able to shoot jumpers today for the first time in a couple months

Just did my first day of p90x. Will be interesting to see how dore I wake up in the morning. Was hard, but a lot of fun. Looking forward to pushing myself further.

Finished the plyo work-out this morning. Feeling a bit sore, but not as bad as I expected.

Bought some almonds as well, seeing they were all the rage earlier in this thread.

Looking forward to another 6am start tomorrow to give day 3 a crack.

Lulz anyways, it got me thinking. Eating crap food is by far my biggest downfall. But nutrition really intrigues me, to the point where I've considered getting a dietics degree. So what are some of your food vices? Have you found any "healthier" alternatives? Mine are generic, subsitute sugar for artificial sweetener with coffee, diet soda instead of regular(ideally just water).

Replacing ground beef with ground turkey is an easy swap and you move to 99% fat free meat.
