Right now he's the man of the season(as yet),lol !

There are a lot of rumors about Poldi to Istanbul but Finke denies all issus about that!

Arnesen and HSV apparently signed yet another Chelsea youngster in Rajkovic. Chelsea bought him for 4M six years ago when he was only 16, but he never got the work permit to play in England. I've only watched him twice, but I still think he's going to be more reliable than Bruma and Mancienne.

Felix Magath strikes again. After signing Hitzlsperger his new targets are Chris, Cale and Kyrgiakos.
He's going for the 40-players roster again.
I bet Charisteas and Karimi still search a new team, too. :D

^^He should sign one of the 10 ManCity strikers. I still don't see the system in which Dzeko, Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Milner, Tevez, SWP, Bellamy and Balotelli play at the same time :D

Edit: how about Michael Ballack, Lukas Podolski or Michael Thurk?

Honestly, I don't understand his (and Dieter Hoeneß's, too) transfer activities.
VW is paying millions every year and they keep acquiring multiple players for one position but don't fix the most important neads. They have Lakic, Mandzukic and Helmes but were rumored to go after Cisse as well. Cisse is obviously a better striker than all of these 3 guys but why not invest that money in a position of need? That's just a mystery to me.
It's not like there are no good wing players around in the Bundesliga, too. They should be able to get a good winger if they're willing to pay a solid price. Bremen for example seems to need money. They should be able to get Marin or Hunt. :dontknow:

Munich is searching a new striker after Olic went down for the next 8 weeks. I bet it's going to be Bendtner.

Just wait, in 2 weeks Wolfsburg plays with this squad: :D

Ter Stegen - Träsch, Kyriagos, Mertesacker, Cale - Salihamidzic, Ballack, Hitzlsperger, Podolski - Cisse, Raul

Comment: they will at least have one heck of a bench 8-)

You forgot to mention that Diego is still on the team but is only allowed to play for the 2nd team like Albert Streit for Schalke.

Philipp Lahm has written a book called "Der feine Unterschied. Wie man heute Spitzenfußballer wird" ("How to become a great footballer today"). It contains some snide comments about several coaches:

"Klinsmann was totally one dimensional. He only taught fitness, and was clueless about tactics. We players had to meet before every match and discuss the strategy ourselves."

"Magath relies on mental pressure, which borders on psycho terror. The problem is that his mind games became predictable, almost everybody hated him, and in the end shrugged him off."

"Van Gaal did everything right in his first year and everything wrong in the second. He is a strict disciplinarian, but also a terrible narcissist, who is physically unable to process criticism."

Phillip Lahm should stick to reading the BLÖD-Zeitung instead of writing books.

Well, the book is not out yet so I don't know. Can't imagine he would write anything negative about a current coach, though.

Plus Loew is, one of, if not the best coach the guy's ever had. Hitzfeld being the other guy I'm thinking could hold a claim to that title. Loew doesn't have Klinsmann's contagious excitement and energy, but he's a really smart coach who seems to have a really strong bond with his guys.

Also think Lowe sided with Lahm during the captaincy row with Ballack.

RIP Loriot.

Munich supposedly wants Mladen Petric from Hamburg to replace Olic while he's injured. I don't know if I would invest 10 mil. on a 30 y/o just to replace Olic for 2 months.

Gee, Lahm seems to have a LARGE chip on his shoulder. In his book (see above), he describes the EC 2008 and rips into his "older" team mates. On the other hand, he recalls the worst error of his NT career...

Philipp Lahm wrote:Vs Serbia in the EC 2008, we were so bad that in the half time, Joachim Löw shouted at us to "show some balls". Still, we lost. After the game, there was a dog eat dog atmosphere among us players, no harmony, only distrust. The older players are especially disgusting, they love stabbing knives into the younger players. We have a farce of a "crisis meeting": nobody dares to say anything, b/c being honest is being an idiot. Still, we reach the Finals, where I cause the fatal error that gets Spain the 1-0. When I get subbed for Marcell Jansen, I just cry of shame.

In the tabloids, there is heavy speculation that the "older players" is a code word for "Michael Ballack". From an age POV, also Lehmann, Frings, Klose, Friedrich and Neuville could be meant, but Ballack/Frings IMHO is a viable guess.

I can totally see this book cause another great debate here in Germany.^

Bayern made it into the CL yesterday with a 1-0 victory in Zürich.
Hopefully, Hannover and Schalke can advance, too, tomorrow.

Schalke is in a pretty bad position after losing 2-0 but I think the chance they advance is still better than Hannover's. Sevilla is pretty hard to beat at home. Hannover needs to be very effective with their chances.

There we go.
Rudi Völler with the first strike:
Ruuudi wrote:Ich empfinde das als Frechheit ohnegleichen, was er da beispielsweise über seinen ehemaligen Trainer Jürgen Klinsmann geschrieben hat.

For non-Germans:
He thinks it's a piece of impudence what Lahm wrote about former coach Jürgen Klinsmann for example.
He also calls it pathetic and mean.

This is going to be a fun debate. I bet Phillip Lahm will sit at home and cry once that debate heats up. Saying the truth isn't very well liked in soccer business.
