Italy barely beat Bulgaria 74-71. Gallinari, Belinelli, and Bargnani (man of the match with 19 points) all played and a lot of minutes as well.

If Bulgaria took care of the ball a bit more and didn't have such 3-point disparity, they easily would have won.

Greece-BYU in a bit.

Greece killed BYU 83-54. Cougars were actually up early but then Greece starting getting a tad bit serious and pulled away quickly.

Vassiliadis had by far his best game in a Greek jersey.

Kosta Koufos was man of the match with a new NT career-high 24 points. :)

Italy-BYU (Doesn't get much easier for the Cougars) and Greece-Bulgaria tomorrow.

Of course Italy NT played a very bad game on both offense and difense but it's not the first time this summer we struggle against inferior opponents... we play better against better teams like Greece and Russia, already defeated before this tournament... i think we're an unpredictable team as we can lose against Israel and Latvia or win against Serbia and France...

I am very disappointed from Koufos D...he gives up position so easily...i am expecting much more from such a huge body...Also if Vouyoukas make the NT instead of Mavroeidis will be a scandal for me...

Italy won the Acropolis Tournament after a 80-81 win against Greece in the final day (after 2 OT)... double double for Bargnani (16+11), 21 pts for Belinelli and Gallinari voted MVP.

For Greece great game by Bourossis with 26 pts.

The free throw percentage of Greece was ugly. Again a lot of open shots were missed. Some players need to work individually on their free time. It is good that they get open looks all the time (good tactics and passing) but it is not enough to go deep in the tournament.

Koufos had his moments on defense in the NBA. I believe he is a good blocker. He suffers when he plays guys like Bargniani though or guys that post in the sides (like Dunkan). His low post defense is adequate and i believe he is a good shoot blocker. They should send Fotsis to guard Bargniani.

And who guards Gallinari?

And who guards Gallinari?

If Gallinari is playing at small-f Bramos or Papanikolaou

If Gallinari played at the 4? If he played at PF then neither Koufos nor Bourousis are ok for defense. A 1-3-1 zone with tall guards would be the answer (?)
