Perfect RHB/LHB balance

Post#1 » by baulderdash77 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 8:23 pm

With the addition of Johnson we now have perfect RHB/LHB balance. Does anyone else remember when we had that?

Escobar - R
Thames - L
Bautista - R
Lind - L
Encarnacion - R
Rasmus - L
Lawrie - R
Johnson - L
Arencibia - R

I guess people are already forgetting about Snider? I'm pretty sure we just had this RHB/LHB balance a month ago when we had Snider instead of Lawrie in our lineup .

We didn't have Rasmus then. There was only Thames, Lind and Snider.

I meant Snider, Thames, Lind, Patterson. Granted, all the LHB we have currently are better. I guess I'm just nitpicking here :).

Edit: It was when Snider, Patterson, and Rajai Davis played OF (*shudder*, maybe one of the worst defensive outfield) and Thames was DH. I can see why you would want to forget this part of the season with that kind of outfield being regular. I can't believe how much the roster improved during the course of the season.

Yup. This is one of them: http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2011_07_19_seamlb_tormlb_1&mode=wrap&c_id=mlb

I'm sure there was a few more times.

I think the point is those 4 lefties were not regular starters together, whereas the lineup the OP posted is likely to be our regular lineup for the time being.

Maybe we trade our entire roster for 9 switch-hitters! :o
