Well, if we got 25m pounds for Nasri, and by all accounts Eden Hazard will cost us 26... come on Arsenal...

Just had a look there out of curiosity - you're not bloody wrong. They've got a thread in there with lots of bitter and sarcastic comments about Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck. It's shocking that, with world class talent across their squad, and Scrooge McDuck financing them, some of them still have some sort of twisted inferiority complex.

I'm sure there are plenty of United fans who can't help but talk about City, same as Tottenham/Arsenal, Liverpool/United, Chelsea/Arsenal, etc (everyone has that one rival team they hate more than the rest, it seems), but to actually read the bitterness over Welbeck and Cleverley beginning to emerge as contributors at Old Trafford is amazing.

On Nasri, good bit of business from Arsenal, to be fair. If there was no way of convincing him to stay, getting 25m for a guy who has only had one really good year and who's contract only has 12 months to run is a good deal. I hop they re-invest it well. I admire Wenger's dedication to building with young players, but surely now he has to acknowledge that he's been too stubborn about buying young and (often) cheap. The money is there, he needs to spend it on complete, ready players. Hazard is young, but there is no doubt he is ready right now. I heard they were linked with M'Vila, too - he's just the type of player their midfield has been lacking. Those guys, plus a tough, veteran centre back and a quality keeper would make them a lot better very quickly. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of time to do it.

Wenger needs to bring in some legit players otherwise Arsenal will get a rep as a selling club. We already saw Mata choose Chelsea over them, if they continue like this no big name player is going to want to go there.
I'd always thought of propane as a dignified lady. But she can also be a dirty girl.

Yeah, he had his mind set on leaving, so getting 25 Mil for him was pretty amazing, I thought. Here's hoping we can grab a few good players before the deadline. Wenger says there will be signings, so hopefully he's not lying.

I've seen us linked with a ton of players lately, Schweinsteigger, Hazard, Honda, M'Vila, Hernandez, Zarate, among others. Some of those name seem a pipedream (Swchwein), others are more reasonable. I'd love Hazard, and M'Vila, two of my dream players there, but I can't see them being let go so close to the end of the transfer window. We certainly need some help in midfield, especially with the injuries, Wilsheres set back etc., along with help up front, and in defense, for once keeper is the least of my worries. If we can grab a few of those players before the window ends I'll be happy. I'm glad to see the back of Nasri, I was worried weren't gonna sell him, especially if he was still here and we used him on wednesday.

Which Hernandez?

By the way M'villa and Honda are kind of Arsenal-like players, someone Wenger would invest time in. You guys also need a good forward that can play strong and be a presence in the box. I wonder if Wenger should have taken a chance on someone like Canales too before Real moved him on. Ever Banega is still another option.

Abel Hernandez, striker for Palermo. I like Banega, seen us linked with Montolivo too. Lot of good names linked, but most are probably BS, and just being linked because they know we're in need.

Adebayor completed his loan move to Spurs, possibly the one move which could make him more hated by Arsenal fans. How long till Nasri ends up there :)

Nasri signed a 5 year deal that pays him 10.7 millin Euros/year, making him the highest paid French player ever. To put that into perspective, Ronaldo and Messi's salaries are at 15 million Euros/year. Manchester City is ridiculous.

Can't see Lille selling Hazard this late in the transfer window tbh. However, if they are willing, I am sure Chelsea will be interested in him as well. Club already bought 2 Belgians and are still interested in De Bruyne. Might as well buy every Belgian available.

Nasri, last season:

"I think we have more merit as a club than those who have built their teams with millions of pounds."

Mancini was asked if this would be their last signing of the window and replied "I hope not", wonder who else they could be in for? A new CB perhaps?

Unofficial: Chelsea reached agreement with Chivas for Ulises Davila?

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... ses-davila

Apparently, Chelsea won the services of Davila over teams such as:

Arsenal
Ajax
PSV
AZ Alkmaar
Udinese
Palermo
PSG

Blackburn have landed Simon Vukcevic from Benfica. Good signing for them, but they desperately need to strengthen their defence and central midfield.
