still NOT a PG, imo
at least shouldnt start at PG

imo
starters : jimmer, tyreke, salmons, thompson, cousins

1st off the bench : thornton, garcia, hickson
(tyeke is the backup pg, garcia at sg/sf, thompson is the backup c with hickson at c randomly)

whiteside, greene
thomas, honeycutt
3 more spots open
dalembert at a good price, would b nice
otherwise 2 Cs and a PG

Tyreke shared PG duties with Beno all year long. With that said, he played more off-guard this year than the year before.

If his jumper improved, I could see him more involved in spot up and off the ball plays, therefore, he doesn't need the ball as much to be effective.

If the Kings team ran through Cousins at the high post majority of the time, I could see Evans be in the "safety" role of the team. He can do a bit of everything.

with this roster
i dont mind Tyreke sharing PG duties again

please explain
"I could see Evans be in the "safety" role of the team. He can do a bit of everything."

does that mean the weakside ?
so when the ball swings to him,
and the court is spread out
he can decide what to do, shoot, drive, other

imo, thats where you want to put Salmons
and you want Tyreke being the main person involved
or starting the plays

He wasn't playing much point guard (or at all) at the end of last year, but we didn't have the worst passing team out there. After trading for Marcus Thornton, the Kings climbed up to 13th in APG. What were they before? 29th! Thank you Carl Landry!

I was more in lines of having Tyreke continue being the main guy with Cousins but having Cousins initiate the offense as the first option THEN Tyreke. I mean, Tyreke will still be one of the primary ball handlers but he will be more incorporated in off the ball play as well i.e. spot up threes, cutting to the basket more etc etc

Basically the same old Tyreke but with more capabilities playing off the ball due to his improved jumper.

with Jimmer and Salmons, and both of their sub-create their own shot abilities
i think they will excel in off the ball positions or rotations

then their decision making and lack of athleticism wont hurt
jimmer, as a rookie, might not make the best choices
but is a great shooter
salmons is not the most athletic, but can excel in spot up shooting, and open space

i really liked when Bogut and Salmons ran the pick n roll
around the 17ft area
if theres no switch, Salmons shoots that free throw jumper, and hes money
if there is a switch, Bogut had a huge missmatch, or Salmons drove the lane for a layup

Jimmer was a great pick and roll point guard in college. Hopefully with he and Salmons on the team, Westphal uses more pick and roll in our offense. Drive and dish with Evans, pick and roll with Jimmer and Salmons, post ups with Demarcus and Marcus Thornton lighting it up from everywhere. This team should be great offensively.

Hmmmm...noticeable climb in the apg category? Strange how that coincided with DeMarcus Cousins role shifting to more of a passing one as well. Seriously, Cousins is probably the best pure court vision system passer this team has.
