All of Tampa's pitchers kill us, even Davis and Niemann iirc. Wouldn't be upset if we only got 1. I expect it to be painful.

Great start by Alvarez. I we get a quality game from our starter for once.

Bautista looks so different without his beard. Almost didn't recognize him.

I love Jose, but the dude needs to stop contesting every strike. He's been bitching about a lot of clear strikes lately.

Lind should not be batting 4th. EE deserves batting there.

Yeah. I noticed also that he's letting by borderline pitches with 2 strikes instead of fouling them off.

Lawrie! Wow! Rookie of the year material! He really needs to get pushed up the batting order to clean up hitter.

His reputation that if he doesn't swing, it must be a ball seems to have faded, and Bautista seems to take it a bit too personally.

I know he's passionate and competitive, but it's very unbecoming. Either put your best out there and handle what happens like a man, or do it better next time. Don't bitch. Vince bitched.

*ducks*

Man, the way Alvy has these pitches working is very nasty. I know small sample size, very young, yadda yadda - but it's a lot more promising then these other young (although older than him) arms we've been waiting on - Mills, Cecil, etc.

3rd starter material next year?

I was about to post how Alvarez's slider is looking much better tonight, then he goes and hangs one.

Ump should go double check that elbow again, if it's not swollen let's erase those 2 runs.

Indeed. Waited on Shields to come inside and then dropped the hammer.

Alright - I'm calling it. Jose's sick and that's Ozzie Bautista.

Jeez. Everyone seems to be struggling with their batting. If they don't start getting hot again, September is going to be brutal with the number of times we are going to face Boston, NYY, Tampa, and LAA.
