Yes it is always What if. If the Lakers did not make the Pau trade. Would Marc lead the lakers to a title or two. What if Kobe signed with the Clippers. What if...A question that will never be totally answered.
I say we won 5 rings in 10 years and the Lakers gave up a lot to do that and the end results might be a few years without a championship after Kobe hangs up the shoes. Win now and hope for a rebuild late on.
