Horror moment for Drogba.
Could be seriously injured.

He apparently came around in the medical room after being knocked out for about half an hour. That's definitely not good.

We so desperately needed a player like Mata. He looked great out there, Lukaku too (10 men though). Chelsea need a central mid to round it all out. Interestingly enough, it should be Lampard being dropped out of the side as opposed to Ramires.

We'll get another big shot in the arm going forward with Sturridge off suspension now.

And Luiz is coming back after the international break. He's really needed for the high defensive line AVB seems to favor. Btw Lamps actually looked very good today, so that's encouraging as well.

Good news is that it sounds like there was no break. Probably still a major concussion though :(

Update: Only a minor concussion, and will be released from hospital tonight :D

Liverpool dominated Bolton. All the new signings played well. Henderson and Adam scored. Very impressed with Downing. Defense played well despite the meaningless goal the conceded.

-Drogba suffered a concussion and will be released later tonight.

-LFC looked amazing against Bolton(I know it's Bolton) but Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Enrique, Adams all played tremendous football.

The Reds look so much better when it's Suarez and Kuyt up front.

^Agreed. If Liverpool hoofed more Carroll would probably be much more useful, but seeing as how this is a pass and move team I think he will struggle to get starts.

Credit also goes to Daglish and his willingness to switch formations when necessary.

I know this won't be popular but IMO Lampard either needs to sit deeper or on the bench. After watching the replay I strongly believe he is the main weakness in Chelsea's attack. Even though he didn't play bad, I felt he should have shredded the holes Norwich's defense more consistently.

Yeah, but he's never been that kind of player. Drogba and the wingers (+Ballack) have been the ones who shredded the defense for Lamps who always found himself in the right place to make that final pass or finish. I think with the Mata signing and Sturridge coming back, he should improve (although he'll never be the player he was a couple of years ago). IMO the main weakness in Chelsea's attack is actually Ramires who's a fantastic player but not much of a threat when you are facing 8-10 men behind the ball.
