It is on both XP and Windows 7. I may end up getting Ad-Blocker for home, but I don't really visit many websites when I am at home and most days I don't visit RealGM outside of work. I work long hours and visit RealGM mainly while working (Multi-tasking master).

But, I don't see how a company can think this type of advertising is effective. But, I understand some software advertising company talked them into it. Regardless, it is invasive and aggravating. They will definitely lose more customers than gain over this.

This thing also makes it nearly impossible to post via many mobile devices. On my droid earlier today and there's really no easy way to 'x' out of it. And then when you try to post, it keeps overlaying what you're typing and not allowing you to edit anything.

Good point, I don't come on here via my phone very often but many do.

I've never seen such feedback on here about an ad. I know the powers above (no, not Stern) have been notified. I'm surprised it's still on here. Seems like a no brainer to sh*t can it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Thank you for the feedback. We always listen to your opinions and feedback on these issues to make sure the user experience remains optimal and that we strike a good balance.

We weren't expecting a video to accompany the toolbar and so we quickly decided to pull it soon after it appeared on Friday. The company we worked with was unable to remove it until Monday morning because they were gone for the weekend.

I agree with the sentiment that the toolbar would be more appropriate on an article page rather than the forums since there are more pageviews here.

Either way, we will continue to go without the toolbar for at least the time being even though we do see it more and more on other sites.

As an FYI, here is a partial list of ads that we do not allow and if they do appear it is without permission and we will have them removed if you let us know:

Pop-Ups
Auto-Sound Ads
Auto-Expandable Ads
Suggestive Ads
Flashing Ads

Excellent. RealGM listens to the people. Too bad the NBA doesn't. . .
