Off season moves include

Post#1 » by radtech » Sun Aug 28, 2011 7:06 pm

1. Trade for BJ Upton, needed youth and power in the outfield. Will move to a corner spot when Gary Brown is ready.
2. Trade J Sanchez for more outfield help
3. Trade Huff, no more platooning with Belt. And Belt stays out of the outfield.
4. Release or not resigned Ross, Torres, Tejada, Burrell, Cabrera, Fontenot, DeRosa, and Zito.
5. A legit lead off man.
6. Of course a big bat.

1. Who are we going to trade to get Upton? We just got rid of our best prospect, and the other top one is Gary Brown. No.

2. He has absolutely no trade value right now, and rumor has it that he might even be able to come back this season.

3. Good luck on trading Huff. We're stuck with him, but at least its only for one more season.

4. Torres will probably come back, he's a good base runner/defensive sub, just not an everyday OF. Ross is gone (**** his .150 average since the All-Star break, POS), Burrell will retire, and Zito...I wish.

5. I wish.

6. Ditto.

If we don't make the playoffs and Beltran doesn't put up "god-like" numbers, then kiss him and half of this team goodbye.
