Keeping with the theme of picking the most underrated players you've ever heard of, Arvydas Sabonis, the most skilled big of all time (passes like Nash, shoots like Nowitzki, defends like a flopless Vlade Divac and posts up like Hakeem) gets selected. Garnett, Sabonis, Parish, Thorpe, and Buck make a complete big rotation that I don't need to worry about the remainder of the draft.

^

Very happy to select Larry Johnson here. I need some more inside presence for my team and I'm confident in his ability to attack the basket while playing both forward spots. Great athleticism, excellent rebounder, solid court vision and a knack for hitting clutch shots. Was an absolute monster prior to his injuries (and was still pretty solid after). 22 points, 10.5 boards, 4.3 assists off 53% shooting in the 92-93 season. Talking to a few people the consensus on the best comparison for a prime Grandmama is a poor man's Charles Barkley and I definitely see the similarities.

Allen Iverson

Pretty easy choice for me here. With SO MUCH defense on my starting line (Robertson/Pippen/Rodman/Duncan) I can afford to take this explosive scorer. 24/8/4/2 this era, 31/6/5/3 next era, this was a no brainer choice for me.

well I think I gotta leave the guy I really want for ICE and take the bigger need and Fit

Image

4.1 blocks per game is no joke, wish his reb totals were better now, but he does FIT very nicely with my squad and I think he could become a DPOY

Eddie Jones

Two era guy, elite defense, great 3 point shooting, 20/5/4 with 2.7 steals next era.

I select Allan Houston. Gives me the terrific shooter I will need in the next era. Whether as a starter or as a backup he will have a vital role in my rotation next era.

Screw it. Stupid pick, but Bruce Bowen.

Lets see if I can build viably for two eras.

Antonio McDyse

I should be taking one of the great wing players on the board but Im betting on the huge depth of this era and getting a starting SG/SF for next era in the 1st rd of the next draft.

Right, taking a possible risk here in selecting Glen Rice. But I can't fault his shooting/scoring ability and he hit 47% of his 3's (2.2 makes per game) playing for Charlotte as SG. He has less character issues than the other guy I could've taken for the SG role.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Vlade Divac! We like pairing him with big ben for next era...defensively very strong front court!

With the third round selection, we take Mookie Blaylock, who can pass it, rebound, stretch the floor, ballhawk like a madman, and do a little bit of everything, complimenting the nice wing combo of Jordan and schmoe.
