Hes not going to get any better by dicking around with teamates and playing in meaningless streetball games. Bonding would be good too, but there is always tiem for jokes...He seems like somone who will have no problem fitting in.

stayin in shape/keeping his body right/working on his game on the otherhand is much more important and what i would rather him be doing anyway. Yea some gametime highlights would be sweet, but i want Shump to be the best he can be.

Don't know if it's been posted but any news is news at this point. Glad to see media types around the league are taking notice to our new guard:

Steve Kyler: Knicks draft pick Iman Shumpert has added a good 10 pounds to his frame since the draft... Looks great shooting the ball Twitter

I was gonna post that quote about Iman adding some muscle. Great news. Kid sounds like a gym rat. I can't wait to see what he can do when the season starts.

Alex Kennedy: Iman Shumpert isn't considering overseas offers at the moment either. He'll continue to train at IMG and prepare for his rookie season. Twitter

He's added 10 pounds? He was already 6 foot 5 1/2 inches and 222 pounds when he was drafted. He was benching more than/as much as some of the Centers like Enes Kanter.

so now he is 232 pounds of muscle. That's insane. Dude is going to be a beast.

These offseason articles about how so-and-so changed his physique in xyz way always end up being a bunch of BS.

Thanks for the article. I like what I'm hearing from the kid. He sounds like a gym rat and I'm happy to hear he is working on his jump shots. I remember reading earlier in the summer every time he goes to the gym he takes 100 jump shots each day. Kid sounds ready. I can't wait to see what he can do.

That's pretty amazing considering he probably is stronger than most Power Forwards and Centers that are coming into the draft. But considering how are going to use him, he should still be quick enough to keep up with other forwards like Wade, and points like Rondo. I sense big things coming from this guy.

Agreed. He's a great athlete and I'm excited to see how Mike uses him and his skill set.
