Trade-Aaron Rodgers Calvin Johnson for............

Post#1 » by jimrat201 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 1:33 am

Tom Brady
Dez Bryant
Frank Gore
Austin Collie

Is this a fair trade, this trade happened in my league and to me looks lopsided......

1) How many people in the league?
2) Which two players are getting cut from the team that is adding four players?

seems fair to me, out of the 4 going to the other team I only see Brady/Gore as consistent starters liked Rodgers/CJ, Colie & Dez are situation type starters....So way I see it CJ is the reason for the 2 added values of collie/dez, Gore is solid but tends to get injured alot and will miss a few games so thats where I would see where collie/dez would come into use.

I dont like it unless you are weak at RB. Collie is very high risk. CJ is waay better and more consistent than Bryant. Rodgers is slightly better than Tom. What are your RB's lookin like?

I think it's pretty fair.

Megatron is going to be an absolute beast this year IMHO. I would take him as the first receiver off the board. Him, Andre Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Mike Wallace and Fitz should be absurd, along with Wayne once Peyton is straight.

That said, I think Brady is the #1 QB this year in fantasy, Rodger is really overrated, like way overrated, in fantasy that is. Should be in the top 5 QB's, but he's going mid to late first round and that's just awful value at that point.

I think you're looking at:

Brady
Rivers
Rodgers
Schaub
Roethlisberger
Brees
Stafford
Manning
Romo
Vick

This year.

Gore is a guy I hate cause I always draft him cause he slips and I get instant buyer's remorse.
But there's no denying he's a top back when healthy, although I wonder this year in what should be a top heavy group with a lot of good value after the close group of the top 5 to 7.

Dez I'm so-so on and I hate Collie. Too many options around him, of which he's 3rd, Peyton likely to miss or 1 or 2 and be rusty for 1 or 2 after that. And Austin himself is a sick injury risk, he has one concussion and his season will be in jeopardy.

I definitely think I'm passing if I have Rodgers and Johnson, but it's still fair if you're willing to take the risk, the reward could be sick. Then again, have to know if he's dropping scrubs to do this trade, cause then it makes more sense.
