Thanks for stopping by and reminding us of the 2010 season Brian. Here's to all the good times :clown:

DFA'd to make room for Villenueva.

He was a good bullpen arm from 06 to 08.

So instead of DFA'ing him immediately after the trade, we allow him to rehab in our organization for a month and then pitch only once for the team (and basically lose a game by himself).

I get not wanting to look like dicks to other players, but that's still puzzling.

That was his first appearance since sitting out 10 weeks with a right ribcage injury that was brought on by a hard sneeze.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

They put a completely unqualified player in a high leverage save situation only to DFA him when he inevitably failed? I don't get the process, but it was a long overdue DFA. He's a terrible baseball player.

More like staying on good terms with their agents. We just see too much of it (Buck over JPA last September) for it to be an accident. MLB's only Canadian team has to coddle veterans, overpay FA's, provide international limo service to wives, whatever it takes.

Unfortunately AA wasn't apparently able to stay on good terms with JoJo. Pity. But I'm sure JoJo's agent sees the reality, and knows that JoJo was given every chance here.

This thread should have zero posts. No one should appreciate Tallet. There SHOULD be an appreciation thread for his old sideburns though.

uh, no.

As I say on the Raptors board all the time... it's not about being Canadian... it's about winning. Back in the early 90's when the Jays WERE were winning, players were breaking down the door to play here. No coddling necessary.

the word was that he "wasn't ready" to pitch that night. not sure what that means, but it looks like strange sauce.

anyways, Tallet, hope your last cup of coffee in the majors was a tasty one.

During that game, my friend started referring to him as "Brian Toilet", which was pretty crude, but I found it funny.

I guess it was his time to get DFA'd, although I'm not sure why they'd let a single game sample size determine whether they kept him or got rid of him.
