That said, you win today and you're still up 9.5 with only 24 games left.

Following the Milwaukee Brewers' 8-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals at Miller Park tonight, the team announced three of its Sept. 1 callups.
Centerfielder Carlos Gomez will be activated off the disabled list, which was the no-brainer move since he'd completed his rehab assignment with Class A Wisconsin.
The other two callups are both rookies who will be making their first trips to the major leagues: catcher Martin Maldonado and centerfielder Logan Schafer.
The right-handed-hitting Maldonado was hitting .328 with eight home runs and 25 runs batted in for the Sounds, while the left-handed-hitting Schafer was hitting .327 with five home runs and 25 RBI.
Manager Ron Roenicke hinted prior to the game that the team's callups would be staggered, so the arrival of Maldonado and Schafer might not be it. One or more players could be added in the coming days as well, depending upon what the Brewers feel they need to strengthen their bench and bullpen.
Infielder Taylor Green, whom the team recalled from Nashville on Aug. 27, collected his first big-league hit with a pinch single to right in the fifth inning tonight.

#Brewers pranksters are putting chalk outline of sprawled player on third-base line to commemorate Ryan Braun's spill last night.

And now #Brewers pranksters are doing a second chalk outline because Braun tried to get up but fell back down. Guess guys still loose, huh?
