In fact I wouldn't feel depressed if management threw bags of money at them and they turned it down to sign elsewhere. What i will feel depressed about is if they don't go after these guys at all, or low ball them with some **** dollar amount.
When have you known any Toronto Sports team to low-ball any superior athlete? If anything, they up the price.
Also, why would you say they may turn down the Blue Jays offer? This ain't the NBA, these guys play in the summer and imo, more than 80% of ball players do not have a problem with T.O. and actually love it.
Finally, players are fans too. Even players in the National League have noticed Toronto's Roster and are impressed by AA's moves. If I was a US player, I couldn't find anything wrong with the Toronto situation and would be quite excited as they have the money, city, and a great clubhouse that has promise.
