Preseason Game 4: Chiefs Vs. Pack - 9/1/11

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Thu Sep 1, 2011 3:03 pm

The least interesting piece of todays Badgers/Brewers/Packers trio but a few position battles to watch. O-Line backups, receivers, TE. I wish Neal was playing. He says he'll be ready next week but this is a guy who needed a full camp.

7:00 kickoff, Channel 4 locally and various stations around the state.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'll be at the game, mostly watching Gurley, So'oto, and Lattimore. 1250am had Vic Ketchman on this morning and he thought that Gurley had made a strong case to make the team but doesn't think they'll keep 6 WRs. He wondered if they might think about putting James Jones on IR with his knee injury? I didn't think it was that serious?

Packers/Chiefs: What to Watch For
--- Five alive. It’s been the lingering question all training camp — will the Packers actually keep five tight ends?
--- Chastin West vs. Tori Gurley.
--- Good look for ‘D.’ Reports out of Kansas City say the Chiefs may play their starters longer than usual for the fourth preseason game. That’s good news for the Packers. They need to see a handful of backups work against a first-team offense. Will be interesting to see how guys like outside linebacker Vic So’oto and cornerback Josh Gordy fare against top-tier competition.
--- The Harrell and Green Show. In year two, without the benefit of a full off-season, the third-stringer has been a pleasant surprise. He has taken on more pre-snap responsibilities made more plays outside of the pocker and delivered in clutch situations. Expect to get a long look at Harrell tonight. Green Bay needs to see if he has No. 2 potential down the road. As for Green, he hasn’t had much to work with. The backups along the offensive line have provided little to no running room most of the preseason as Green has averaged just 1.5 yards per carry. The former Hawaii running back could see a hefty workload.
--- Line woes.

Much ado about nothing.

Is Rodgers even playing? Why bother for one or two series. I guess because it's a home game they may trot him out there. I wouldn't.

I wouldn't put Rodgers out there for even one snap.

Ok, we won't turn this into a political thread please.

I'd sit Rodgers, Matthews, Woodson, Driver, Jennings, hell every starter. Let Lang get some work in maybe.

Willpower test, gentlemen. Who can keep it in their pants?

I'd like to see the O-line get a couple series in as a unit, but I'd sit every other starter. Maybe get Burnett some work just so he can have a little success and put The Gaffe in the rearview.

I agree on the O-Line playing just to hopefully gel a little bit, other than that I want to see starters as little as possible. Final score is irrelevant, get out healthy and determine who gets the last handful of roster spots.

Current Affairs board for all things political. Let's discuss the WORLD CHAMPION Green Bay Packers as they take on the team we crushed in Super Bowl I

I received a warning once on BF.net for "excessive punctuation". I used more than one ! after a sentence. Really. :)

Play better than the Brewers, not that tough of an objective.

Permission to change So'oto's first name from Vic to Fap.

We should just cut all of our starting WR/TE to save some cash and start these guys. It's pretty much irrelevant as we just dominance regardless. :D

So'oto with a sack against their first unit and then forces Jamaal Charles to fumble while their first team was still our there.

Well, can we just thrust him ahead of Zombo/Walden?
