Spain 83-78 Poland - Rubio with a very bad game, P.Gasol 29 pts and 7 rebs, Navarro 23, M. Gasol with 16 pts and 7 rebs
Lithuania 80-69 United Kingd. - Deng 25 pts and 10 rebs.
Turkey 79-56 Portugal - Kanter 14 points and 7 rebs
Group B
Serbia 80-68 Italy Bargnani 22 points and 9 rebs. WOW Bargnani got 9 rebounds? :lol:

, Gallinari and Teodosic with 15.
Germany 91-64 Israel - Dirk 25 points, Kaman 18 points and 10 rebs
France 89-78 Latvia - Parker with 31 points.

Greece 76-67 Bosnia - Kosta with 10 boards.

I must copy paste my post from Cle thread.

Round 2: Milan Macvan (54, obtained from Oklahoma City via Miami)

Today on Championship in Europe Milan had 14 points (6/7) and 8 rebounds, 1 assist in less than 20 minutes from the bentch.
For example best Europe player Tedosic had 15 points and 8 assist
Other NBA players Krstic 10 points, Galinari 15 points, Bargnani 22.

But he played much less minutes.

I heard somewhere that he is mix of Kevin Love and Vlade Divac, and I couldn't agree with that more. He is a scorer, who can shoot 3's, he is a big body, probably will play PF/C in NBA, but he understand the game and move the ball well so he gets many assists. So practicly Kevin Love with Vlade's rebounding and passing ability.

It's a shame he was only #54 in this draft, I don't know how much chance he will get because of that. But in my opinion he should've been 5-10 on this draft.

And did someone heard something about his contract ? When he will be available for NBA ?

He was a steal on this draft for sure.

Koufos had 10 points 10 boards in 15 minutes.

Ricky Rubio no points (?)

Enes Kanter had 14 points

Dirk and Keiman had a party against shorthanded Israel.

Tony Parker had 31, Kirilenko had 20 in the win against Ukraine

PEKOVIC had 9 points in the Montenegro win against FYROM.

24 team tournament is too big. The gap between the top teams and the rest seems to be narrow during the first day but for sure it will broaden as the tournament progresses.

Spain wins against Portugal by 14.

Rubio with 5 (2/4 FG, 0/2 3PT) points, 4 boards, 2 asts, 1 stl, 1 to in 17 minutes.

Good game from Pekovic so far. 4 minutes to go and he's got 16 and 6 in 21 minutes. 6/9 shooting and 8 fouls drawn. His team is still down against Bosnia, though.

I know but that is really how it is.

Kevin Love: He he has great hands, hustle very hard, can shoot for 3 pts.
Vlade Divac: He is no Kevin Love with rebounding but not bad also he can give you 8-9 rebounds and close to 4-5 assist per game because he has a great feel for the game and move the ball well.

I'm just speaking about possible NBA stat's because in Europe (and Israel were he plays now) criterium for rebounds and assist are diffrent for the NBA's.

if macvan was 6-10 he would translate like a beast to the nba imo...but he is only about 6'7 or 6'8 in shoes....size is the biggest thing holding him back in regards to the nba imo..love his game though

Watching this game reminds me how awful it is to be a Wolves fan in terms of disrespect from the refs. Their calls have been so horribly lopsided towards France, it's not even funny.

Not that it would have changed a lot, though.

Oh, f*ck don't remind me of all these lopsided calls against the Wolves. I was about to forget about that since we haven't had a Wolves game for more than 4 months now.

Also, I knew we would lose this game. Our guards just suck. Nobody on our team is able to defend an nba caliber point guard like Tony Parker. On the other side, France had some nice bigs including Noah to at least make life hard for Kaman/Nowitzki.

Our team doesn't have the guards to win anything in this Eurobasket. Every single player on our roster but Nowitzki and Kaman sucks.
Benzing also got completely shut down and ripped into pieces in the few minutes I've watched. Batum is 500 times the baller that our "best talent in years" is.
Also lol at Pleiss not getting minutes. He will wake up some day and realize he should've trained. He doesn't have the mindset to play basketball at a high level. He's just a 7-1 scrub.

I mean our backcourt is that bad that Sundiata Gaines would probably be a starter for our national team. :oops:

They don't completely suck. Schaffartzik, for example, is a good player. He may not be an NBA caliber guy but he can hold his own against Euroleague guards. Tony Parker is just too damn quick and good for anyone on our team.

But the rest of them are just too mentally fragile and afraid when pressure arises.

One thing I noticed about Kaman, was he always that quick? His 1st step looks very very quick. He blew by Noah twice IIRC with ease.

I might have pushed a little hard but in reality Schaffartzik is not much more than an average PG in the Euroleague. That qualifies for scrub in the NBA. :dontknow:

Did Heiko even played in the Euroleague? I think not. I really like him in Germany, but reality is, that he would be a scrub, in NBA or in Euroleague. Maybe not a scrub on a scrub team, but you know what I mean.
Gaines sure would be a starter in Germany. No disrespect, but its reality. We all know Germany is no Serbia, Lithuania or Spain. However, they usually play a good team ball and surpass the expectations. Props to coach Bauermann.
